Never liked him, never will no matter what he calls himself. Terrell Owens has more respect for his team and the game than this jackass ever will.

I don't understand some of you people.

On one hand, you call the NFL the "No Fun League". Then, once someone comes along who really wants to have fun at a game that is supposed to be "fun", you hear things like "he has no respect for the game" and so on and so on.

First of all, Johnson didn't shoot anybody, he's not up for murder or rape. He just wants to have fun.

Some of you guys are too young to remember but the NFL was a lot more fun back in the 70's because EVERY team had a character. The Raiders had Alzado and Matusak (famous for saying that he wanted to rip Dan Marino's lips off). The Dolphins had Mercury Morris and Jake Scott, the Cowboys had Thomas "Hollywood" Henderson, Billy "White Shoes" Johnson of Houston and Pittsburgh had Terry Bradshaw.

Hell, Terry Bradshaw is still a character.

And who can forget Deion "Prime Time" Sanders?

There were more characters back then until the NFL started this nonsense.

Even back in the 40's and 50's, the NFL called players by their nicknames when they made tackles. Ironically, it was Cincinatti's first coach, Paul Brown that suggested to the league that players should have their names on the back of their jerseys.

So I don't see how Johnson can have "no respect for the game" when the game has always had characters with crazy nicknames and did crazy antics. The problem is that the NFL has become "more corporate" and the average working man who really enjoys the sport cannot afford to take his family to the game and enjoy it. The "big" money people are in control now and they want it to be "white collar" and corporate.

You can't have it both ways, Johnson is having fun and enjoying the game at the same time.
