With no CBA, Vikings 'preparing for the lockout'

The NFL's ubiquitous red, white and blue shield would look more contemporary with a question mark as players and teams prepare for a 2011 offseason of uncertainty and potential upheaval. Full Story

We all know that Brett will be welcomed back with open arms once
he decides to unretire again. Coach Frazier, enjoy your limited time
as head coach of Brett's team. What a joke.

Hopefully Mr. Wilf will use the lockout year to pick a new place to build a stadium to his specifications that is 100% paid for by him.

Good luck to the team wherever they move and whatever year they play next.

Watch the UFL instead!

The owners should use replacement players!

Why should he? He can bribe politicians to get public money just like the Pohlads did. "It's for the children, it'll create jobs, it's good for the community, the check is in the mail..."

I may have written this before, but will repeat it again for those who may have missed it:

1] Lockout happens in 2011 NFL season for at least half of the season. Playoffs & Super Bowl a mess.
2] No stadium built in Minnesota during this time and will not be built with public funds, period.
3] Result of #2; the MN Vikings will leave for greener pastures unless the NFL denies its moving.
4] Metrodome will be used by others and will stay as a useful facility in downtown Mpls.

At least we all know that we will have the opportunity to provide the owners with the TV advertising money since the owners get the TV money games or no games. In many respects Ziggy can make more money if there is a lockout than if they play. Sad, but true.

At leaset Wilf is smart enough to hire within, since he already has one head coach under contract (Ghilly), why not just promote an emplyee on the payroll and save the salary of his position?

Save money and hire another Childress from within.

if business operations are suspended by all teams per NFL rules, the Howling Wilfes are not going to be making any stadium deal after March 21. since the new COP legislature wants to solve the budget first, NostrilDrippus Predicts!(tm) the stadium debate is over. so do the other owners owe Zygi a buyout?

If you cheap ass minnesotans don't pony up for a stadium you are going to look like the biggest bunch of pathetic leftist losers in the WORLD. 50 years of tradition down the drain. Why don't all you stadium opponents move to LA instead of the team? You would all feel right at home out there in leftist land and maybe your combined weight would be just enough to tip Cali into the Pacific. PATHETIC!

No need for a new stadium. This time rebuild the roof with paper mache to remain the cheap losers we are.
