As the patriarch of a chronically underachieving household, coach Brad Childress paid the ultimate price for the Vikings' collapse in 2010. Full Story

I blame myself a Vikings fan for being too optimistic about this supposed superbowl season.

I blame myself a Vikings fan for believing we will get back to the playoffs.

I blame myself a Vikings fan for encouraging the firing of coach Childress.

I blame myself a Vikings fan for wanting Moss back even though I knew in my heart his inner childlike behavior would still be there.

I blame myself for believing the Wilf's would be watching this team like a hawk in which they havn't paid much attention to.

and finally I blame myself a Vikings fan for believing we don't need a future franchise QB.......all we wanted was Brett and all he does is ......throw away games like he use to do in Greenbay in the most important games.

This group of old underachievers has no chance to regain any pride. This team has no chance at the postseason now, and should be playing any players they think might have promise for the future. They should ship the pathetic baby cheesus back to Mississippi and let him melt. Yippee, 50 years of failure. What's there to be proud about.

It will be a good sign if I don't see this:

First down. Peterson takes the hand-off over right tackle.
First down. Peterson takes the hand-off over right tackle.
First down. Peterson takes the hand-off over right tackle.
First down. Peterson takes the hand-off over right tackle.

That crap was getting boring, even for opposing defenses.

I have a question-If Frazier does get hired after this season will he stay with the WCO? The style of offense the Vikes run would certainly have ramifications as to who the Vikes draft at QB.........

Peterson over the right tackle might be boring but it would have won you several more games.

Good idea; let's make it a road game. We haven't won one of those in over a year. It's nice to look to "regain pride," but I suspect that can only come from a team that plays good team football - something our team got out of the habit of doing this year. Prove me wrong, Purple! Skol Vikings.

What Viking team will show up on Sunday? Your guess is A GOOD AS MINE.... THE AIR OF SUPER BOWL EXCITEMENT CERTAINLY NO LONGER LIN GERS IN THE AIR SO WE HAVE TO AIM OUR THOUGHTS AND WISHES SOMEWHAT LOWER. WHAT A BUMMER THAT IS. THE ONLY CONSOLATION I CAN SEE AS SPOETS GO IN MIN NESOTA IS THE POTENTIAL OF OUR GOPHER MENS' BASKETBALL TEAM . THE HOPE THERE IS STILL ALIVE.....

Sure is odd that the Vikings and the Cowboys have mirrored seasons. Unexpected losses, firing of the HC, etc. But...looking at the schedule and balance in the NFL this team has the potential of putting 6 wins together. Doubt it will happen, but it could...and one thing you have to give the Packers is that they play as a team,...something that Childress was not able to manifest. I had an inside source that mentioned that Wilf made up his mind (re; Childress...apparently there was an exchange of words) right after the last game..it was a matter of timing. Also, Wilf has been on the line with two big name coaches.

Nightmare at the Metrodome has only been trumped by this teams road ineptness.
We shall soon find out if it's the players or Klink who all of a sudden couldn't figure out how to play pro football.
I'm hoping Leslie is that coach who can bring out the best in this team.

Brets head is on the block. Zilf told fraizer to play VJ so they can evaluate. If Bret is concerned with personal records he cannot afford any bone head plays on his part.Vikies need some lopsided scores to continue to play favre and evaluate VJ.Gotta hope receiving corp steps up.Corner backs look like keystone cops at times.Opposing QB's have all day to throw the ball.Could go on and on but I wont.Pack fan all my life.I remember how bad the pack were without favre. Thats why I want to see favre play at his potential without the big mistakes. The guy deserves to go out on a high note.

Seems that curse you thought went to Packer fans actually stayed with the Vikings. You made a deal with the devil and lost the curse continues. 50 years of failure so far, 50 more to go.

Watching the same plan of action for weeks and hoping for a different result. The only decision made quickly this season was firing Moss and that was because he exposed Childress.

We've yet to experience the 20 year joke of a team the packers pranced onto the field during the 70's and 80's. That must be reserved for knotlicks such as yourself.

Agree. Moss may have been caustic, but he brought out what players and fans alike had try to convey to Wilf and company. Ziggy finally got it. Randy might be a pain in butt, but at least he knows a good coaching atmosphere from an inept one. Just glad Childress is gone...that may make the 2010 Vikings Highlight film. Again, we vikes fans must be made of spring iron and steel, to ride this train. I say good luck to the Vikings as well as the Pack.....and let the cards fall as they may.
