an absolutley pathetic performance..........
only silver lining is that once this season is complelety tamked , hopefully our Klueless owner is paying attention and fires this arrogant bald headed schmuck of a coach.and maybe, just maybe, we can be like other NFL teams and actually draft a real NFL QB to play.......one who shows up in training camp and actually works out with the other players on HIS team, not some high school team 1000 miles away....

The Vikings will do just fine if they can find a wide receive with strong cahones which include Berian if he learned how to and/or wanted to try to catch balls in a crowd as rice always did. Now, tell me again where is Rice and why did he decide to have game missing surgery at the beginning of this season rather than at the end of the 2009 season? Favre needs to have a receiver or two that he has confidence in which means either a new hire or a current receiver stepping up or both. Defense looks okay although they didn't really give Henne much trouble as he managed the offense as planned. Vikes will do well and may finish at 10-6 but probably won't repeat the 12-4 of last year nor would anyone realistically expect them to do that. Jackson might have gotten them to 10-6 with a break or two as well but given his deer in the headlights play, would have left fans wondering if the team could have done better but for Favre having decided to retire rather than to come back as he did.

Dream on, if they get past the Lions, it will be a miracle.

F the Packers. Who cares how many "rings" you have? Vikes have owned the division since their inception and give us another 50 years of existence to catch up to you a holes and I guarantee they win at least one and that will be the end of the "who is better" conversation. It only takes 1 ring and Packers become second rate to the Vikes so live it up while you can. This is a new season and by the time the team comes out to play against the lame Fudge Packers this year they will be ready. We started in a similar fashion last year, except our schedule was easier so we pulled out some wins.
You are hilarious!! Since your inception? Guess you forgot that since your "inception" in 1960 the Packer's have OWNED the record books for championships.

They won the NFL Championship in 1961, 1962 and 1965. The also won Superbowls I, II, and XXXI. That is 6 championships since your piddly little franchise has been around.

But, you're right -- you've "owned" the Packers. Put the crack pipe down and come back to the real world.

Favre looking old, Reciever are garbage.. BB should be cut hasn't done nothing this year.. We need to get Jackson and another OL.. Move Kinney to guard or bench him.. Move Loadholt to Brett weekside and Wilf please fire Childress... He has no clue in what he is doing on Offense along with Bevell... We sux on offense the worst in the league.. Thank god for AP or we would never move the ball...

OK, let's do a little digging.....

Since 1967 (the creation of the NFL North, which became the NFC Central, which became the NFC North), the Vikings have won the division 18 times, the Packers have won it 10 times, the Bears 9 times, the Lions 3 times, and the Buccaneers 3 times.

So technically he's right they have "owned the division", but they have never owned a true championship. This is kind like being able to say that you have been chosen "Miss Congeniality" the most, but never won the pageant.

The defense has a coach, the offense doesn't. Childress and Bevel are clowns, who shouldn't be coaching at any level.
It isn't Favre, it's the receivers. Get rid of Berrian and Lewis...bring in Javon Walker and Logan Payne. This replaces two small useless receivers with two big guys that can run a route and catch a pass...problem solved!
Wow! a totally rational non-idiotic post. I agree 100% with you. Again, our predictable play calling was atrocious. Compare the Childress/Bevel calls with the Jets Shotty calls which were brilliant and unexpected. As long as C/B are calling the plays, this team couldn't win with Peyton at the helm(unless of course he was allowed to change the plays). Mr. Wilf, the Childress experiment is a failure. I will always be a Viking fan which makes this whole situation most painful.

The purpose of a pre-season is to allow the team to gell. Farve missed training camp and 99.5% of the pre-season. Things just haven't come together. Yet. 0 and 2 Isn't fatal. If it's 0-3 next week, call the morgue.
