I am expecting huge things from Sydney Rice. I know he was knicked last year and he was a rookie the year before and Childress doesn't play rookies. Sydney is only 23 years old and was probably a little timid about the agressive style of the pro game but it is time to man up. Andre Allison is a waste of a roster space and should be replaced in this years draft. Wake up S. Rice!

Brutal. Outside of Greenway and Peterson there is nothing but minimal role players and complete busts. Sorry but I'm far from sold on Rice - granted he plays in a lousy offensive scheme with horrible QB play but he looks lost on the field. Not a crisp route runner and rarely creates any separation. Pro Football Weekly scouting report on Rice coming out in 07: “... very immature and not strong-minded. Will require a lot of guidance and needs to be managed properly. Does not play fast or show the speed to gain a step on defenders — almost all of his catches are contested.”

Yikes. I guess I had never seen that report.
Obviously neither had our "Guru," Childress.
Because that is exactly how he has played to date.
