Gains as a state? Maybe the metro region gains but what exactly does outstate Minnesota (ie Northern Minnesota etc.) get from Viking games?
You share in the proud tradition of having a loser city south of you getting all the benefits while your tax dollars go to the team's 'overhead.' They share a proud heritage with you, a special legacy of never being champions in over 50 years....Priceless

Ask your self if the viking leave and the tax money that is generated through out the state (hotels, bars, car rentals, ect.....) who will have to make that up? Yepp higher taxes!!! Not to mention the jobs loss!!!!!
If not higher taxes then how
Will you stop saying generated throughout the state! How many hotels in Duluth get business due to Viking games played in the Twin Cities? How many hotels in Rochester? Or any other place in Minnesota OUTSIDE THE METRO REGION?

The Twin Cities is a major and important region of Minnesota but it does NOT constitute the ENTIRE state!

I guess only people in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota buy Vikings jerseys, sweatshirts, hats or go to a restaraunt, sports bar or have family and friends over to watch the game. These all generate sales and profits for various businesses.

So let's say that the Vikings move out of state. What will prevent Minnesotans from buying Vikings jerseys, sweatshirts, hats etc. etc.

The majority of the profit will still go to the Vikings. And I bet most of those jerseys, sweatshirts and hats aren't even made in the U.S.

Again when the team leaves who is going to make up the tax money the city county and state loose we all will so all in all your paying weather you like it or not!
DORK FISH!!!!!
Hey genius - first, there are only 8 home games. The revenue figures aren't that big. Tax the tourists, that is what they do in other states. Secondly, It's "whether" I like it or not. There is no "weather" in the dome, fool.

Really? Is it warm in New York in February?
Super Bowl XLVIII
New York/New Jersey - Date TBD
Memo to morons: New York is the epicenter of the NFL, Not Green Bay, not Dallas, and most certainly not the two hole outhouse that is Minnecrapolis. Oh wait, I'm wrong! The league offices are moving from NYC to MSP. I would love to hear all the stories about a SB in Minnecrapolis, you know, like the land of 10,000 lakes and 40,000 wide stances in the bathrooms
