Look at it this way -

At least he told the team about the injury in a timely fashion...

If Rice would have told the vikes he was hurt, before Favre joins,, do you think Favre would have still joined?

Farve looked 51 the other night. Receivers who can't get open + an O-line in flux = fun year for Packer Fan.

Why do all Viking fans tell me the Packers defense is so bad, and the Vikes have a great defense? Where does this come from? Facts? NO, in fact the Packers had the #2 overall defense in 09 and the Vikes FOLLOWED behind at #6. The Vikes D gave up more points, and yards last year yet I still get scolded by the puple fans? Only in MN.

Vikes will go 6-10 (T-Jack week 5 on)

Well, genius... Let's do the math:

- The Vikings are saying it will take 10 weeks before Rice can play.

- He was injured in January, 4 months before he informed the team, and 7 months before he had the surgery to correct the issue.

- Favre didn't commit to returning until just 2 weeks ago.

Add it all up, and the average 3rd grader could tell you that Rice could have informed the team of his injury, spent 5 months hoping it would heal on its own, then decided to go ahead with the needed surgery all in time to be fully recovered before Favre made his decision.

So to answer your question, YES -- I absolutely believe Favre would have returned, because he would have been comfortable knowing it was taken care of.

Besides, Rice's injury was already disclosed and he was already sitting out of training camp drills when Favre decided to come back.

I was really optimistic about the season but everything seems to pointing towards a very average year. I really like the defense and think the unit has a good chance to be dominant if Cook can bounce back and Winfield stays healthy.

Here's to Rice coming back healthy, Harvin not living in the dark on gamedays, EJ playing like himself and Peterson answering all the doubting Thomas'

Looked up "torn meniscus surgery" in google, checked out a couple articles. Cook's injury must be pretty minor for him to be slated to return in two weeks. I would not be surprised if he didn't play again for at least a month, unless they've improved over sutures and "arrows" (staples). Maybe they're using super glue now? Boy, that stuff is strong!

“any questions?”

Maybe it comes from seeing every team that the packers have played this preseason. Packs defense has let the opening drive go for a TD & yes the packers Had the #2 defence last year but still could not Stop the other team from scoreing in there biger games & Cards proved that now didnt they.#2 defense gave up 51 points & now every team out there knows all they need to do is throw on the packers they Cant stop it & havnt stop it at all this preseason. Hope this helps lol .>>> GO VIKINGS

Your team has this easy schedule so if they lose any of the first few games that is what going to be funny not the VIKES loseing to a superbowl team if they do. I am sure if the packers lose we wont be seeing you here will we? This is what we vike fans cant wait for lol >>>> GO VIKINGS

Rumors are starting to circulate that after the Vikings final preseason game Favre, may announce his retirement because he dosen't think his ankle will allow him to play well enough for a full season.
