Cornerback Lito Sheppard is familiar with Vikings coach Brad Childress, and that helped him land with Minnesota.

I know you can never have too many good corners but is this guy past his expiration date? There's a reason he was benched and didn't see acton in a championship game. Hopefully the different scenery will help him help the Vikings.

I think you have to look at the strength of the entire secondary. Lito may be able to play a little loser and key on the ball with good support around him. I would like to see the Vikings pick up another quality young CB and some help or depth on the OL (bigger center and more agile OLs for the left side of the line). One last good pick would be a big blocking running back. Other picks if available would be quicker line-backers. Just my opinion.

I wonder if he played in New York with Brett. Maybe he wanted him here, knowing our last season losing Winfield for part of the season and now Cedric may not be ready. I just hope his experience with Childress and Frazier will lead to a great position for him with the team. Go Vikings! Ready for another great season and Brett's return.

Am hoping for a replacement for Pat Williams if one can be had at the 34th pick in this draft.

Funny, he thinks he's goung to start.

I predict he'l be cut before opening day.

They lost one CB (Paymah), but added two - Sheppard and Cook.

If they keep the same number of CB's they had last year, who's the odd man out?

Starters Winfield and Griffin are locks, as is first pick Cook, and I suspect both Asher Allen (3rd rounder last year), and the vastly improved Benny Sapp.

Sheppard is getting up there in both years and injuries. I suspect he was nothing more than insurance in case they couldn't land a top CB, and perhaps even a ruse to make teams think tey weren't going to draft one.

(too bad the Jets didn't fall for it so they could have taken Wilson)
