and yet Wilf does nothing to correct the ineptness of this situation, if Favre goes down this year and we have to watch tjack pretending to be an NFL QB, that new stadium pitch will be a hard sell

This is all well and good. But the elephant in the living room is Childress. Do the players hate him? Is he incompetent? How much is he responsible for the departure of good players like Birk? What's with this Jackson obsession, and what do the players really think about it?

The players obviously aren't going to break ranks -- not if they want to survive in Childress' domain. So it's up to you, Bob. And maybe even you, Pete. Speak truth to power. What is going on? Please be the ones to tell us.

10-6. Still bothers me that the Vikings management and Sidney Rice let his hip go as long as they did. Crap py teammate, if you ask me. Stupid coaches, if you ask me. What's up with that? Last year we had the magic. This year. 10-6. C'mon Vikes, get it together. Camarillo and Harvin amp it up. McKinnie. Show up and block. Etc, etc.

I agree, 10-6 at best. This will be 1999 all over again. In 1998 we had a clueless head coach rescued by a veteran QB exceeding all expectations. '99 was a season of dissension which ended with a trouncing by the eventual champs. This year will start with a trouncing by the reigning champs, 37-17.

without any backup QB behind 41 year old favre, if brett favre gets hurt for any length of time, this team is doomed. thanks to a very, very poor head coaching decision to trade the only good backup QB he had. This bonehead trade of rosenfels has sealed the fate of the once promising vikings. there is so much pressure on favre and the o. line to keep him healthy, that they won't be able to play loose. they will be tight all year. only if favre can stay healthy until feb,2011 will this team have any chance. defense is great, but without a QB, there is NO chance at playoff run. vikings are down to ONE QB. BRETT FAVRE .there is NO backup at all.THANKS BONEHEAD CHILDRESS .NO WONDER BRETT DOESN'T TRUST YOU!

if i were favre, i would sit about 6 weeks longer to heal ankle properly, and let that poor excuse of a QB, jackson, be forced to start against the new orleans to showcase his non-talent. and then childress would have to finally concede his adopted son is as worthless as we all know.

... i know ox...i too have wondered why ZIGGY has decided to stick with him. my thinking is it could be as follows: 1/ Zig believes in loyalty ( to say nothing for BF helping the Col. get an extension); 2/ like KLINK...Zig doesn't like to admit when he f'ked up; 3/ he knows there is no way in Hades
the VIKES will get a new stadium...so he plans on flipping the team for a profit and it matters not who is coaching; 4/...Zig is just plain blind. all i do know is...you don't trade the only secondary asset you have at that position, because you dislike him...after all, isn't it supposed to be team first...at least that's what Napolean there keeps f'king harping on about in his mundane drivelous ( is that a word?) press conferences...i'm staring to like Steckel more and more over this egotistical maniac...GO VIKES!!!
