Charley Walters: Three things to watch in the Vikings' draft

There are 20 comments on the TwinCities.com story from Apr 21, 2010, titled Charley Walters: Three things to watch in the Vikings' draft. In it, TwinCities.com reports that:

30 overall pick in Thursday's first round of the NFL draft. However, if the Vikings feel comfortable that CBs Antoine Winfield, who is aging and has been injury prone, and Cedric Griffin, recovering from knee ligament surgery, can return as starters, the team could wait until the second round to improve that position.

I would love to see the Vikings get Tim Tebow. He'd have a year to sit behind Brett Favre and develop more for the pros. No matter what people think - the guy is a winner, and a super football player. He knows how to play the QB position. He would make the Vikings a force for years to come. :)

Why

Do you think that loser will rush for 57 TD's in the NFL like he did in college

Quit dreaming

Finally an intelligent article draft CB # 1, but they don't need a S Winfield is a natural S, OL help is needed and there was no mention of drafting that glorified TE or FB Tebow. But then DD Austin had too ruin it do you realize that 90% of these college running QB's never make it in the NFL Oakland is the place for QB's like Tebow.

Trade Ray Edwards and T-Jack to Steelers for Roethlisberger. He suspended so Big Ben can't play anyways and are bases are covered for next year.

I still say the VIKES should take a offensive guard with there frist pick someone that not only help in the passing game but someone that can help in the running game also. The VIKES CBs are as good as any that there going to get sitting at 30th in the draft so drop wanting a CB its up front help they need most that or a young QB. Will there be a QB worth getting at the 30th pick we can hope they move to 1 to 10 if they want a QB thats worth takeing a chance on sam or colt if there gone is tebow worth it, will he be any better then Jackson now? im m not to sure he will be but i thought the same when the patriots made the pick in late rounds for Brady i said guess they wanted to throw away a pick lol boy was i wrong so never know . GOOD DRAFT DAY VIKINGS

Man Charley,
Do you check out the Vikings status on their own page? Hellloooo CB's are important but games are won on the line. Sheppard is currently visiting MN, I say thats a great choice for CB. As far as the draft goes, if he's still available I say they'll take M. Iupati. AP can use a better run blocker and at 6'6" we would have a massive line. Not to mention Mckinnies needs to get his act together. AND Iupati is agile and aware on the line, not only big. Enough said.
