Jared Allen, Vikings not surprised to be playing red-hot Cowboy...

All along, Jared Allen had a feeling the Vikings would play Dallas. Allen and the Vikings practiced Sunday in preparation for their NFC divisional playoff game against Dallas a week later at the Metrodome. Full Story

The Vikings Offensive line scares me along with their secondary. The Cowboys will be there toughest test of the year and by no means if the Vikings lose will it be a choke. The Cowboys also have a mid range and long range passing attack. The Boys are also are great at defending the run and will limit Favre's options to multiple recievers due to the suspect offensive line. GO VIKINGS!!!!!!!!

the real question is "Will Allen take another day off like he did during the regular season, or will he decide to try to earn some of the millions that he is paid"?

Well, the gloom and doom guys are at it again....Terry (Smooth Top) Bradshaw..Howie Long..Jimmy Johnson..and others..Bad Mouthing the Vikings..Dallas Cow Pies are to Hot for the Vikings to overcome..Blah, blah..Only thing +Hot about them are the Cheer Leaders..Besides, those TV "Sports Announcers" picked Green Bay to win...What needed is for Childress to let Favre do the play calling, Childress to leave the Headset in the Locker room..When it is 4th down and 3 inches GO FOR IT..instead of punting...Only thing that needs to be punted is Chilly, right out into the parking lot...

Vikes opened at 2.5 favorites for next weekend, but look for that to swing toward Dallas after the 'experts' keep picking the cowgurls.
Every other game has the home team as at least 7 point favorites.

After the Vikings lose, everyone go to Eden Prairie and help them move! They are not worth a new stadium unless they pay for it themselves!

Sorry but the Cowboys shot their load this weekend. They were so conserned about winning in December and winning a playoff game they all acted like they achieved the ultimate Saturday night..........I sense a letdown.

We already beat them in the playoffs in 1999, 27-10. Let's make it 2 in a row!

Just to give y'all the scoop from Dallas. This morning on my way to work, the Dallas version of the Fan was asking who you would rather have at QB Romo or Brady. The host was adimate that Romo was better. His only arguement was this weekends results. MORON's. The cowpies are getting deep boys! Please Vikings, Take care of this for me.

The whole momentum thing is way overrated. No one was on a colder streak than the Cardinals entering the playoffs last year when they made it to the Super Bowl. Long time Vikings fans remember how they backed into the playoff in 1987 and ended up one dropped Darrin Nelson pass from going to the Super Bowl. Unless there has a dramatic change in personnel I would look at how a team performed across the entire season to try and gauge how they will perform in the playoffs. So for all those that want to automatically put the Cowboys in the championship game here are a couple of season stats to chew on:
Vikings 8-0 at home and 10-0 overall on Astroturf (Average margin of victory on turf: 18 points/game)
The Vikings are 4-0 after byes since Childress became coach (Average margin of victory: 11 points/game)

Im going to go out on a limb and say the Vikings have a pretty good chance in this game, reguardless of what the experts are saying.

Not to be a downer, but it'll be up to Chilli - if he does his usual poor game planning the Bouys will win (unless Favre says the he!! with that and takes over the game). The Vikings secondary HAS to step up!

I don't think there's anyone on the Cowboys that can cover Harvin. Look for Harvin to be giving migraines to the Cowboys and be a game changer in this one.

The best part of the article was when Cedric Griffin was quoted saying our secondary matches up well against them well I'd like to see who is going to cover Miles Austin after reading that I couldn't stop laughing well only six more days till destiny another one and done in the playoffs that is what Vikings football is all about
I agree... the Cowboys have more good receivers than we have good defensive backs. If the Vikes defensive line can't get pressure on Romo, the Vikes are gonna get scorched for 30+ points.

Favre will have the Vikes doing some scoring of their own, but in the end I predict a Dallas victory, 36-31.
