Seems no team is immune from this (Rothlisberger, numerous Cowboys, past and present), steriod use, night club roudiness, toting guns, DUIs, you name it. There are many skeltons in the so called culture called sports. Makes you think why you really pull for these guys in games. I am not one to juge Brett when he was a Jet but the timely release of the info. certainly looks like a head game that perhaps jets mgmt. has somthing to do with. Mos-favre fan.t players play thru hearsay fairly well,...I don' think think this distraction will have an effect...it might even motivate him. Best regards ex-favre fan.

Man take a moment before you hit the "post comment" button to re read what you typed. Your post loses its point if people have to work to read it.

This is another of those stories that should be put into the "Who Cares" category. A pro athletes life isn't going to add or take anything away from my table. Too bad for the Favre family, but they have to confront it, not me.

I think it will be a distraction if Favre gets suspended for four games.
I don't know Favre did what is being said. If he did and he gets a four game suspension, it will penalize the Viking's for something that may or may not have happened when he was a Jet. So if the Vikings get burned then the Jets should too as it happened their watch. They should lose their starting QB for four games.

i know, i know the proper punishment: because it happens on the jets' watch, they should be required to swap head coaches for the 4 games, instead of a suspension... we get ryan and they get clueless klink...... yeah, that's the ticket..

maybe we could trade for keeps !

I have no idea if these allegations are true but, as there are now more than one woman claiming phone calls and/or pictures, it doesn't look good. I am a big Farve supporter, none-the-less, with his elbow and ankle problems and now this distraction, maybe it is time for TJ. Have Farve start to keep his streak going, but perhaps it is time to help out the offensive line by having a QB who can move. Farve looks like he has lost more than a step. Where is Sage when you need him?

Brett Favre will get into the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio and space on his plaque will be provided that he found recreation in waving his pecker around at hotties.

Chris Cook can still be great look limit his snaps once he heals and think of future production, he'll likely be more willing to take smaller paychecks for a team that won't give up on him and is willing to take some time with him, unfortunatly I'm sure he will start ASAP and repeat this story say 2 months from now just before the playoffs

i don't know whether it is BF or not. what i do know is that,( this will probably ruffle some feathers) if in fact it is, then this is a bone head move on his part. having said that, this has nothing to do with him as a football player...as a human being...yes. as a professional athlete/celebrity...these peole should know that they are under the microscope and held to a higher level of responsibility...the fact they don't, well you know the consequences of that. DUI/GUNS, the repercussions of these actions are much more severe, than waving or sending photos of your Vienna sausage, to some smoking hot female...alcohol/guns injure or kill people...these photos will only humiliate and ridicule the sender. furthermore, if it is BF then he or anyone else of the same ilk: then the punishment is to lose his wife, his reputation and a crap load of money...which to me would serve him right. as a heterosexual male...i cannot comtemplate doing any such thing, but, we didn't get here because mom and dad were doing a crossword puzzle...we got here becuase mom was cooking and dad liked the menu...in any species ( even humans), we are hard wired (pardon the pun) to pursue females...females rule...it is nature's way...they know it...we know it...if given a choice between drinking, drugs, guns, violent assaults etc. on females or others vs some fool sending photos of Mr. Happy across cyber space...i would choose the latter. lastly, if it is BF...you made your bed...you have to lie on it..i hope you get burned (financially) big time...GO VIKES!!!

Well it seems he also was hitting on a massage therapist for the team also. Maybe he should be charged as a pedophile since these girls are the age of his oldest daughter. Well maybe that is how things go down south.

... i know...that's one reason why most fans were clammoring for Klink and Spilly to address the QB position...i hope the allegations prove false...you would think that players would know better...but as the french say "c'est la vie"...that's life...still very strange too...2 years after the fact and if it is proven true...it happened when he was in NY ..not Minne...we shouldn't have to pay for that...IMO...here's hoping...GO VIKES!!!

...thanks AARON...as much as it pains me to see any athlete/celebrity....even a Predident or PM...they are still human...given the other things that happen to people on a daily basis...well not to undermine these charges, but...they pale in comparison. as much as we give each other the gears here, i wouldn't want anything like this to happen to any player on any team in any sport...but it is what it is...so GO VIKES!...og i almost forgot....how about them "SKINS"!...had to get it in...i would expect the same from you.

Couldnt disagree more........bert feeds on fans feeling sorry for him, and believing he can do no wrong. This is a negative distraction!...Not a positive one!........I dont think he can handle it.......Best regards "cnruf"..........Ps, he should be suspended.......If Goodell is serious about "cracking down" on the nfl conduct rule!

We will have to see how this all works out for Favre. Personally, I don't care about his persoanl life unless it spills over to his fan base. By that I mean all the kids who look to athletes as role models. Like it or not, professional athletes as role models have responsibilities to these young and impressionable kids. Sterger, in her own celebrity, has a responsibility to young women. She's no better than the company she keeps. I hope that message comes out too.
