no matter what you say...the Vikings are a better team than the bears. They proved it twice this year, winning once and losing in a fashion that only the Vikings can. They are a better team....beating only themselves. The bears have nothing on the Vikings.....the Vikings only have themselves.

After 40 years of watching Viking Football, I can honestly say nothing surprises me anymore. I am still a fan and a rabid one. What is totally disappointing is the fact that when I have travelled 1500 miles to several home games, I can't believe how lame a majority of the fans are. They sit on their hands during crucial plays in the game when the defense could use the crowd noise. Nothing demonstrated that point more than last week. How phucking embarrassing was it to be a Vikes fan last week.. I'm not talking about the 7 fumbles either. Make some damn noise and be a true fan or don't go to the game!

Stupid idiots vote down a Stadium to keep the team there yet they will cry when they leave in 2011 when the lease expires.. lol idiots..

The Biqueens are a mediocre team and won't go far if they make the playoffs. They are, however, better than the Bears. If Chicago has a good draft and picks up some key free agents, they could hope to be mediocre in 2009.

Sincerely,
An objective, Vikings hating, long suffering, Bears fan.

ps - we'd trade our entire team for Adrian P. Interested?

Poolacher is on his way way out. Wait until EJ comes back.

Justin...I agree. I've said it before in my posts...the dome atmosphere is antiseptic at best. It's a day at the opera, with people slowly filing in all during the first quarter only to sit and talk to one another. I don't travel nearly as far as you, but even a half-filled Arrowhead watching a really bad Chef's team gets more up on gameday. It's truly embarrassing to be told to sit down on third and 6 in the fourth quarter with the game on the line....

The dome is no home field advantage for the Vikes because it becomes too silent as soon as the home team makes a mistake. When noise is needed it seems they sit on their hands a little. I have heard more noise at Twins games. Let her rip today and get some real home field advantage. Go Vikes!!!!

It's true about the mental edge Chicago has over Minnesota. I lived in Chicage years ago, and couldn't wait to get out of there!! They have a multitude of nut cases who live there compared to Minnesota! It's not even close!!

This article just sums up Childress to a tee - he has a defeatist attitude and doesn't have a strong enough personality to allow the players to play their game. I for one, hope that Minnesota loses so old baldy gets the ax.

This bankrupt newspaper writer wrote, " Lovie Smith has mastered the difference. " Does that mean he learned how to get the worm on the hook as a kid which made him an apprenticed baiter now he is a master baiter. I think that is what this guy means but can't spit out or find the words. Now chilly is stuck on digging the worms.

...considering the team with the mental edge got down 14 points midway through the final period of a must-win game and couldn't come back.

The supposedly mentally weak team was down nine points midway through the final period of a must-win game and wound up winning.

HERE I go again defending the fans. Were the fans this docile at the old met ? NO. Was it the fans fault the brotherhood decided to build a giant toilet in d.t. mpls.? NO. The team has been jinxed with poor ownership and the inflatable debacle called an NFL stadium, so go easy on the fans this isnt Cleveland or Philidelphia.

"Hi I write for a Chicago Paper and need something to make-up,I'm out of material...this should suffice...Dang, I have to write another article next week?"

Here's some material...Vikes win and are in. Bears lost and suck.

Justin is right about last week, the fans took themselves out of the game from the get go.
I think they showed up today.

Was that about the worst-coached game you ever saw?
Won another one in spite of the coaching.
And not too stellar QB work either.
