I love the emphasis on being physical. Tackling, tackling, tackling! Drill it into them.

and drill it in some more! The missing tackles and sloppy tackling last year was painful to watch at times.
Tackling up high also, but, that is also a huge majority of players these days for some reason.
I do wonder how bad Tramon W.shoulder really was and how much it effected his tackling and his defense.A healthy T.W. should greatly improve ( assuming he was really hurting and it effected his play),guess game 1 is tomorrow and we will find out a little something then.Something like 11 players are scratched for the game,so lots of backups and the depth will get some playing time vs the starters of SD.

Sam Shields (elbow), running back Brandon Saine (hamstring), tight end Ryan Taylor (concussion), wide receiver Tori Gurley (groin), running back Du'ane Bennett (knee), offensive lineman Ray Dominguez (ankle), fullback Jon Hoese (hamstring), tight end Eric Lair (knee) and offensive lineman Mike McCabe. And I assume you already know about Jennings and Newhouse. It won't really affect Jennings or Newhouse, but it certainly could hurt the others.

Woodsen to safety makes the most sense.....especially since he can still blitz....
