No surprise here.

There is a reason almost all of the schools recruiting him his senior year dropped him and he ended up at South Carolina.

I'm not going to play the "Race Game", but it seems a little ironic how most of the black atheletes get suspended when they committ a crime, but the whit atheletes get second, third, fourth...chances. Garcia keyed a car...hmmmmmmm. You tell me

Thanks to the Charelston Post and Courier, is the USC starting line-up:

Rising senior cornerback Carlos Thomas has been indefinitely suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules and team behavior, Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said Tuesday through a release.

Additionally, Spurrier clarified late Monday that rising senior tailback Mike Davis, the frontrunner to start at the position, will be suspended one game for his spotty class attendance. The game Davis will sit out, he said, hasn't been determined.

Thomas and Davis join a growing list of players who are serving or will serve suspensions.

Rising sophomore receiver Dion Lecorn was arrested Feb. 17 and charged with simple possession of marijuana. He was suspended by Spurrier until the matter is resolved.

Redshirt freshman Matt Clements, who was with Lecorn but not charged, was also suspended by Spurrier.

On Feb. 7, defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis was suspended for the season's three games for violating university policy.

Additionally, senior defensive players Jordin and Dustin Lindsey are on probation with Spurrier after a number of academic and behavioral issues.

On top of that, other players, including quarterback candidate Stephen Garcia, might have to sit out a couple of spring practices for missing too many classes.

See I told you....the black player gets kick off indefinitely....not like that white one...which Spurrier thinks did nothing wrong.

You know, you wonder how many more of these spoiled athletes are going to get arrested. I wish USC would deal with them on a much harsher basis. Perhaps then, and only then, would this nonsense stop. If they can't behave, then we don't need them, no matter how good they might be as an athlete!

One more comment, I agree with previous posters that it doesn't matter what the color of the player is, they should be kicked off the team. I would rather that we don't put a team on the field at all, than to put one on and lose the integrity the team should have. It isn't just playing a sport, these kids should also be examples.

What ever happended to the atheletic dorms "The Roost" Why can't USC house these players in a specified dorm, give them curfews, enforce class attendance, drug and alcohol testing, high grade expectations and tutors.
These kids are mostly on "scholarship" (for lack of a better term) programs at a state (read: tax supported) institution.

Why citizens of SC put up with a bunch of oversized, undisciplined thugs carousing and fighting in Five Points in the wee hours of the morning during a regular semester is beyond me.

Mom and Dad don't care 'cause they aren't paying for them to be there; apparently the coaches don't care as long as the USC keeps paying them $1millon plus per year to field losing teams and the Board of Directors just doesn't care at all.

Great use of our tax dollars and great way to build a national reputation. Jerks.

So am I to understand everytime a black person is arrested we should call the NAACP? I don't think that organization has enough resources for that kind of work load. Don't my brothers and sisters see we perpetuate the racism by using it as an excuse for in-excusable behavior? One Love!

JEZUS H. CHIST PEOPLE! Can't you talk about ANYTHING other than BLACK or WHITE?! Can there not be one critical analysis of any news item that does not immediately result in a race war. My advice, Ignore the racial posts and only comment on the one that have substance to them.

As if there wasn't enough crap with this team. USC will never be a power in the NCAA much less the SEC. There is no quality recruits that want to go to USC. The stigma of being a Gamecock is too much. I for one have been a Carolina fan for most of my life. I moved to New Orleans in 1990 and found out what a quality team looks like in LSU. After last year I am tired of waiting for next year.

You have questions about him being a thug? Ask yourself why Georgia Tech wouldn't take him after he had verbally committed to them. Tech had already "enjoyed" enough of his big brother Lavon's antics. Being black and fast doesn't entitle you to an education, a postiion or a career if you can't conduct yourself accordingly. SOUTHWEST SIDE !!!!!!!!!!LOL Another Banneker Thug like reject.
