Kentucky comes into this game with the 28th ranked pass offense and 15th ranked rush offense out of 119 Division 1-A Teams. They also rank 12th in the country in passing efficiency offense and 5th in the country in scoring offense. This game matches Andre Woodson against the 1st ranked USC pass defense. From my point of view, if USC doesn't plug those holes in their run defense, it is going to help open up the passing game for Kentucky and it will become a long day for the Gamecocks. And by the way, Woodson has only thrown one interception.

OK, so since no points were achieved as a direct result of defensive or special teams play (outside of field goals) and were all scored on offense, then the 38 points they put up on MSU was a hoax perpetrated by the socoreboard operator?!? They should be scared every game they play. It makes them try harder to prove something, so if you think that's a smack-down on them, think again.

Though I'm sure Carolina would like to add to that interception total, they don't rely on the interception. If they did, they'd be all overMunnerlyn and ever other guy out there who's dropped easy picks more. Heck, Jasper brinkley leads the team, so obviously they don't rely on the INTs from their Safeties and Corners like other teams. Andre has played absolutely NOBODY in the way of an effective pass defense, and Carolina should be able to gameplan an attack that keeps Woodson in check better than most other teams have so far. Put KY in the hole and force them to air it out... that plays into Carolina's gameplan.

Yes, what you have stated maybe true, but if Kentucky is able to establish an effective running game, that is going to give Woodson the ability to use play-action passes where he is most effective. A sound running game helps open up the passing game because the defense wan't know what to expect next.

that idiot who said 44-0 really needs to wake up. theres no way we'll get shutout and DEFINATLEY no way kentucky will score 44 points. im praying that VT beats the hell out of those overrated loser tigers like last year.

That's why they play the game Matt... I'm sure Steve and his staff will have those kids prepared with the right gameplan... It's up to the kids to perform (just like it's up to Woodson to carry KY on his shoulders. ;-))
