Full story: TwinCities.com

What?

Why would Carolina even want this stiff when they already have the great Jimmy Clausen?

According to all the know-it-alls who post on this very site, Jimmy Clausen was going to make a whole bunch of teams regret not drafting him -- ESPECIALLY the Vikings...

Did I miss the memo on him or something? Has he already locked up his spot in Canton and moved on to some new challenge???

This coming from the same idiot, who declared this a great Vikings draft in 2010. Pot meet kettle.

sounds like the carolina panthers scared Luck away. He was thinking hmm...do i really want to play for the Panthers?....naw..i'll stay in school. viking should totally lose on purpose next season so we'll get the first pick. Luck would look good in purple.

Cook -- would have started the season had he not gotten injured

Gerhart -- already beating Chester Taylor's production with the Bears

Griffen -- Can backup both DE spots, and both Edwards and Robison are now free agents

DeGeare -- Jumped to starting role with Hutchinson out, and played well for a 5th rd rookie

Webb - Better rookie QB than anyone expected from a 6th round WR project

D'Imperio -- practice squad

Tripplett -- cut
Shuler -- signed with Dolphins from practice squad

Your math might suck, but mine doesn't. That's 6 of 8 draft picks still with the team.

Dope. I guess you were one of those clowns sucking Clausen's nuts.

Wow. This will scramble the draft boards more than a little. It almost certainly means the Vikings won't be drafting a QB in the 1st round.

I'm an LSU fan and I laughed when Oakland selected him first. I would have never in a million years taken that guy with the first pick. I'm just glad he left early so Matt Flynn could have his chance.
