I don't agree and Newton has been accepted well here. He is filling the stadium for the first time in awhile. There are those who criticize and do all they can to discredit a person they did it too the other starting QB from Notre Dame --Clausen that started last year and he is white but these are people who follow them on the internet just to bad mouth them. Lot of lies were put out about him of things he did in college. There must be a lot of competition in college because there seems to be a lot of hate that follows players drafted and new to the NFL. Or maybe some just did not make in football or the NFL from their colleges.

Newton and Clausen both come from good homes with good parental support to keep them on the straight and narrow should they stray.

So it must be just disgruntled former players or some one holding grudge.

U have to good QB there. If the owner would get supporting cast around then they would give other teams fits. It's just amazing how it is so easy for some people to say racism when it's dealing about a black person

How can there be any criticism of Cam Newton?

He's a rookie who played only one year of major college football, yet, after two games, his touchdown to interception ratio is 3-4, he has 854 yds. passing, 71 yds. rushing, 2 rushing touchdowns, and his 89.1 quarterback rating places him 16th out of 32 starting NFL quarterbacks.

Shut up Warren Moon! If you could get off the sauce long enough to actually watch a game you would know that the qb formerly known as Jimmy Clausen went through the same thing here!

Most of Cam's criticism comes from the fact that everybody seems to forget that he was kicked out of Florida, then got paid to go to Auburn.
There is no doubt the kid has talent, but he cheated. It's also off-putting when the NCAA is punishing kids at Miami and Ohio State for taking a couple hundred dollars each, but Cam took a couple hundred THOUSAND, and he got rewarded with both a Heismann AND an National Championship.
People hate cheaters, and people hate double standards.
Cam Newton represents both.

There is no proof and the FBI investigating the matter have none that anything wrong took place. The claim was the father was loaned money for himself and his church so no he money was not loaned to Cam in the accusations.

He earned the trophy and it was not given to him. There is no proof either of cheating in college and he left the college he was not kicked out. Possibly this is what Moon is talking about. That plus another top round pick QB was in trouble at college and he refused to talk about it to anyone not even media when asked and he was a white guy. And I don't blame him --like we were all saints in college.

This issue of football or basketball players in high school or college that come from poor families is certainly unclear. When colleges recruit they do it with promises. When Katrina hit and families went to different states. White churches went and found families who had sons who were football players in their schools and put them up in nice apartments in the nice side of town and put them in a local private school and yep and paid for his college too. Now maybe there are stipulations they have to give it back to the churches since it is the churches who are giving this out but who cares it if helps someone.

I think the schools have a lot of competition going on cause this similar happened the year previous to QB Jimmy Clausen only he came from well to do parents but a lot of lies traveled with him when he was drafted in the NFL. There was a circulation of lies surrounding him also trying to make him out something he was not.

Colleges are limited in QB slots so anyone can do anything to knock a person out of a spot. I think its foolish when the NFL puts these players through the grinder they do before they accept them for anyone to start gossiping about what they did or did not do in their college days.
