2011 NFL Mock Draft: The Vikings Make Their Move with 12th Pick

Apr 10, 2011 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: BleacherReport

The Minnesota Vikings will make a big move on draft day. They need a franchise quarterback, and if that means they have to "reach" to get one, they may very well do that.

I think Blaine Gabbert is going to be there at the 12th pick & the Vikings will pick him They Wined & Dined the guy at the combine. I dont think there going to let him slip, if need be the Vikes will trade there 12th pick & a 4th & 5th with the 49ers or Browns to get him. The Vikes are known for trading away picks & having less picks in the draft last year for Gerhart & same the year before they have 9 picks so giving away there 12th & two more even three wouldnt surprise me . Go Vikings

lol The hate of Packer fans even the thought of someone saying the possibillties of the Vikings getting a starter like Blaine This is only a possibillitie because the Vikes dont mind giving up a few picks to get there guy if he is still there . With that said its been many years now that the Vikes had seven picks in the draft so all I am saying is dont be surprise. Go Vikings

Vikings will get in a bidding war for Carson Palmer, and end up trading their 2nd round pick and non-supplementary 6th and 7th round picks for him. They will then pick up the best available OL at #12 in the first round. That will give them an above average starting QB, somebody to replace either McKinney or Herrera on the O-Line, upgrade the O-Line immediately, AND leave us either with Herrera or McKinney as a decent back-up. Not bad. We can then sign a non-drafted QB to be our 3rd stringer, and if Webb doesn't end up improving, draft another QB next year. This year's 4th rounder, 2 fifth rounders, and remaining 6th and 7th rounder can be used to get DBs, a DE, and a WR.

Too bad you cant trade draft pics for players during a lockout. 17 days left until the draft and your lame, pathetic ramblings have more holes in it than the Vikings Lombardi trophy case.

My Dear Vike Fan, indeed what a pleasant person you are! Of course, my predictions were based on the current legal difficulties loosening up somewhat. Surprise! ESPN noted today that is was quite possible that trades for players COULD IN FACT BE MADE on Thursday. Scranton? Is your real name Michael Scott by any chance? Or Dwight? Enjoy the draft. It will be fun having ol' Carson on the team, don't you think?

Great comedy relief. I'm still laughing.
