Hes been nothing short of great. Now finally Shaun Ellis is regaining his pro bowl form we havent seen since Jason Ferguson was manning the DT spot. Along with the pace the Jets look real smart after those offseason defensive moves

Lies, lies, lies, and damned statistics.

Let's not give Jenkins too much credit. The Pats had a backup QB making his first start and they still ran on them at will. And the Jets couldn't stop the Pats when they ran out the clock. Here are some reason for the phony stats.
1.) The Chargers threw at will, so the running game was minimized.....and the Jets never could contain Tomlison.
2.) Cards - were down 21 points before they know what hit them, had no time to run, or they would have.
3.) Bengals - C'mon with that QB the Jets could play run all day. As a matter of fact, the RB stink.
4.) Miami had no problem running all over the Jets.

Let's wait and see what Buffalo. Miami, and NE do the next time they play, before we give these guys any credit 5 games into the season.

Geez! The Jets are 3-2 and head into a game where Oakland is horrible. To quote Ralph Kramden from the Fortune episode..." Some people are never satisfied".

You are missing the point. This fool of a "writer" is giving credit to one man for what he perceives as a huge improvement in the Jets run defense.

I agree that Jenkins is an upgrade but when the rubber hits the road, the jets rushing defense this year, has in fact been poor.

He is hiding behind useless basic stats to make his case. I disagree.

Favre is great and the offense is much improved, not too sure about the D.

The defense is clearly better against the run this year giving up half as may yards per (150 to 69) as last year. Jenkins injury against San Diego confirmed his worth
they ran at will, as you say, AFTER,he left the game injured. Do you actually watch a game or just look at the pictures the next day?
