Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable said quarterback Jason Campbell will start against the Steelers on Sunday in Pittsburgh, even though hometown boy Bruce Gradkowski has been cleared to practice.

This could be the Perfect Storm for the Raiders. If Campbell rallies the troops and plays like he has been. We should be in good shape. If Campbell struggles and they plug in Gradkowski...it could be the spark both Gradkowski and the Raiders need to bring a W to the Silver & Black.
Obviously those are both best case scenarios. But my biggest concern is starting flat after a bye week. I can't wait to watch this game, I wish I was going to it again this year. grrrrr

YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE AGAIN! i almost asked you a few weeks ago if you were planning another trip out there just for the luck of it.(lol) the main thing here is that campbell starts fast and finishes good. thats what his problem has been, he starts out slow. thats one reason i preferred gradkowski. but there's no turning back now. campbell has been finishing good and i guess thats what counts. but trust me, campbell "has to" start out fast!

Difference is the team beleives in Campbell now...before Gradkow got hurt, they didn't beleive in him. Then Gradkow goes down and all of the sudden they were beleiving in him...it's amazing what some W's will do. That said I wouldn't hesitate on pulling the trigger to put Gradkow in, for a couple reasons. first and foremost I am not sold we have a starting QB...Yes Campbells QB rating has been great the last few games, but he also had his rating go up because McFadden opened up the passing game. Any QB would benefit from a powerful running game. Ok the other reason I wouldn't hesitate to put Gradkow in is they are in Pittsburgh...It's a special place for Gradkow...especially after last years win...let alone he is from the area. He will bring an energy if we need it. and finally If Campbell is struggling...it's better to not let us get in too big of hole. Pittsburgh has a solid D and points won't come easy. I expect it will be a fairly low scoring game...like 17-10 Raiders.

I still can't settle on a prediction. Which raider team will show up...Hopefully the one with a 3 game winning streak. The steelers have been a little inconsistant themselves so I really don't know.
