When JBust got that first paycheck he thought "I'm guaranteed 32 million and this looks nice. Why should I care about doing good since I got paid like this for sucking...?" He obviously cares about money and not the team...32 million guaranteed for an unproven player is ridiculous.

I think he did think that...but I also think reality has sunk in....he is the fodder for all sports analysts and fans...and he knows it...I think there will be marked improvements in his game....providing our O-line can give him some time. I really don't care who starts for us...I jsut want us to get back to winning...and if Russell did the right things this off season I am fine with him being QB...but again...who ever is playing the best come preseason needs to be starting. I don't care how much we have vested in Russell if he isn't ready....don't let this be another project year for him. If he isn't ready by preseason...I absolutely think we should cut him. But if he is, I will support him. For me its about the Wins column getting fat!

It doesn't matter if the guy is in shape or not he's not an NFL QB. He has a big arm with no accuracy, he gets sacked from the front side and can't see it coming, and he is not a leader. The guy is a bum let him go he will never be good.

If he gets a chance this year and still sucks, then he needs to go no ifs ands or buts about it. Look at Cedric Benson...Major bust with the Bears and is picked up by the Bengals and was finally playing better football than he did at Midland Lee.

i too am a sole believer in jamarcus russell! well, a "hopefull believer" (LOL) because, gentlemen, i really do hope he plays upto expectation. his now trainer (don't remember his name) says russell is in shape. "not just weight loss, but in shape" that tells me russell has worked alot at getting back to where he is supposed to be. of course time will tell but even if he does not win the starting spot he will still serve the back up roll as he continues to progress. if for some reason gradkowski gets hurt again, russell will be the backup. now, we all saw what happened last year where russell did back him up and was awfull! but we did see alot of will to fight and get back to realizing where he should be. he's had all this time to realize and i believe he has done alot of work for that. his trainers and others have talked about his hard work ethics. russell may not win the starting spot but it does not mean that he should be traded. he may lose by a coin flip or toss on who the starter will be but if russell "does" win the starting roll and fails sadly? he may lose his job!
i still believe russell will still be here and not just because of al davis, but because he may still earn the back-up roll.

would this be incase russell does not work out? or does it mean that gradkowski has offers that we don't know about? or does it mean mcnabb can take us to the playoffs? wasn't mcnabb, russells advisor or mentor, last year during RAIDERS feagles game? you know, the one where RAIDERS kicked the feagles a.s?

it sounds more like the rams and the bills are more likely to take mcnabb in a trade deal. they both are in trade talks as well as oakland. does oakland really need mcnabb? money wise that is? trading and money wheeling and dealing and all that stuff? do we need that? i almost want to say yes but? i mean, we could use a guy like mcnabb at this point and oakland sounds interested but i don't know? i personally don't think they will go through with it. it sounds more like a rams and bills deal!
rummors sound real and? what do you guys think?
