McNabb is a bloated overpaid, underachieving journeyman QB. What did he win with the Iggles? He gets them to the playoffs. Then he throws a timely interception. Or a host of them. A waste of time and money unless you want to sell soup.

"monster deal Asomugha landed (three-year,$45.3 million contract)"

That could be a reason.... Samuel fills the hole until a draft pick develops.

It's a deal that Al would relish.

McNabb is in the last two years of his career. Why would the Raiders throw away their future for his last two years when they aren't going anywhere any time soon anyway ?

Asomgha needs to stay in Oakland McNabb would be a major asset but not at the expense of losing a great corner back .

The downfall to this trade is Age and Raiders don't have a good offensive line. McNabb has had a good O-line for years...he may struggle without the time he isn't as mobile as he once was. On the plus side I think JaMarcus could learn from Donovan. That could be huge.

Let's see, they have a fat quarterback who throws picks, and they are going to trade for a not quite so fat quarterback who throws picks.

Sounds like a real winning proposition. Al really showing his colors.

Never for Nnamdhi, Best corner in the league. I love McNabb but I love number 21 more and if he goes I go. Ive said that for years.

I believe this would be good for Oakland. I really like Nnamdi but with him in Oakland we havent been to the playoffs not once. with McNabb we have a better chance. Some say McNabb is in his last years I say no. Look at Favre look at the age Gannon was when we got him. Get McNabb and draft some O-linemen and maybe even some LB.

Hey Dean Wormer.....
Show me a pic of a Fat JaMarcus Russell in uniform...that is media hyped nonsense. The only things Russell is guilty of is Poor decision making, not scanning the field and not being able to memorize enough plays. Granted those are all ridiculously important...but don't waste your breath on this nonsense fat crap.
Thats what people write when they are lazy and don't take the time to think about what his real problems are. And Yes McNabb would be a great tutor and I agree with Raidernationrise....McNabb probably has more than a year or two in the tank. Especially if he can bring whatever team he goes to in to the playoffs. I think he needs a change of scenery.

hey d-wormer,(lol) sorry?, there is no denying mcnabb is a descent (qb). as much as we want to say it ourselves, we can't! you may say that cause you don't like him but he takes his team to the playoffs constantly. AND to the superbowl! so, no, he is not a bad (qb). he may get tired and out of breath towards the end (lol) but, you can not deny he is a descent (qb)! i would not trade for nnamdi but maybe a late rnd plus k morrison or something like that. i'm not really too worried about mcnabb but would not turn down the trade.

Who cares as long as Davis is still running things. They will never be a really top level team until he retires or dies.
He always finds a way to mess the team up.

id take mcnabb over russel any day of the week. or ANY other qb in the league for that matter. take mcnabb if you can get him. itll only improve that team by a few wins but for the raiders of late id take that in a heartbeat.
