Jackson to start

Full story: ESPN

But by no means do you judge a guy on his first year starting or you probably [would fire] most of the guys that start and play their first year. It's back to Tarvaris Jackson at quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings this week, seemingly by default. via ESPN

Let Jackson start the rest of the season I say. Then and only then after we go 3-13 will Wilf possibly get the hint that Childress can't coach and Jackson can't play in this league.

I thought Bolinger could not possibly play any worse than TJ but after the packer game we have to be resigned to TJ. Williamson is a complete bust as a wide reciever and as a kick returner he is looking for the ground. We might be better off paying him to stay off the field. The WR situation Chili and the organization have put on the field is an embarasement. How do we know if the QB even has a chance with these WR's? I suspect after watching this group all miserable year long that neither group deserves to be starting as a number 1 or 2 WR or QB in the NFL. These are Chili's guys so fire him so the next guy can clean house! Keep Rice he is young and shows some skills and Wade as a Number 3 or 4. Get rid of the rest. TJ should be a 3 not a 1 or 2 at this point in his career. He might already be so damaged by Chili that he needs to go as well. Hope I am wrong about that but it does not look promising. He can't stay on the field and looks lost.

Hey
look at it this way, at least we will get a good draft selection, but Chilly will probably screw that up too! I don't know but it sure looked to me like the entire team just didn't even try, I wonder if it's a passive display that they want change in the coaching staff? Just a though, because they really looked sad out there.

or maybe they just know that any effort is futile. Think back to the beginning of the season. Winfield voiced his opposition to Jackson while others remained silent (or so where told). Now the truth is coming out, in the form of depression and bad play. How would you feel if you joined the Vikings in the hope of going to the superbowl and then have Jackson put in the QB position? I'd want to jump ship too! Its like they have been told the biggest lie that could possibly be told.

I think our team is actually better than the record they will have at the end of the season. However, its like having a car with one bad tire. Sure the engine is a monster, but you ain't going no where. Such is the situation with our team. HOF players on the line, great defense but no QB to run the offense.

The stadium sucks, too, and it all gets better STARTING WITH A NEW OWNER.

I guess we should all jump for joy because the inept so called starting QB gets to try and play a complete game without getting hurt! Let’s all run out to get a ticket………… NOT!

What you really mean is you want to see some scoring. We won't see that with Bollinger

I get it. Everything you say, the opposite happens. We don't want Bollinger starting for the rest of the year Magnum Man.

Mrs. Avant (aka packer whacker),

No I didn't mean I want to see some scoring, I meant exactly what I written. The players are losing faith in the system and are disgruntled by bad management. More scoring isn't going to fix the problem. This is beginning to look more and more like the year we had Les Steckle as a coach. Players stopped attending practice, Games became predictable and everything was just flat.
It was more like watching a funeral than a football game.
The good news is is that it's Childress' funeral and we will lay him to rest at the end of the season. I only hope that Wilf learns a lesson fro all this.

Once again packer whacker (aka Mrs. Avant) I meant exactly what I wrote. No I want Jackson to start the rest of the year. Give him time to learn the system and prove that he can swim or sink (I personnally think he'll sink) and let there be absolutely no doubt that he isn't the QB of the Vikings future.
Bollinger is statistically better but he isn't the man I want to lead the Vikings either. I'd like to see Ryan drafted a proven vet signed and Jackson put on the practice squade.

Did you graduate grammer school? That is where they taught me english comprehension and that seems to be where you are lacking at your utmost.
Anyway - have fun working at McDonalds today.

The Lions had a rough outing in the desert, but they are WAY better this year.

The Vikings need to root for Miami and St. Louis.

Miami needs three wins.

The Vikes, with no AP, are a 3-13 lock.

We will see if Zigi is smart enough to go out the back door.

A coaching change now will bring success, so we need the inept Chilly to steer them into the ground. Then maybe Billick or Schottenheimer.

Seriously......the Vikes have to run the table.

I don't know...I'm picking the Vikings at home over Oakland....the return of Culpooper should be fun to watch(even though he won't play).

We've discussed this topic ad nauseum. Yes we will get somewhere between 4 and 6 wins. We will draft somewhere between 5 and 10 and be in a position to get a good QB IF we do not go with BPA but go with needs. If Chilly goes 3-13 or 4-12 I think he gets fired. If Petersen returns in a few weeks and sets three new rushing records we will have 7 wins and Chilly will keep his job.(I'm counting on a minor miracle on defence to get the other win). It all comes down to Childress being the coach next year. Even if he realizes we need a QB he is liable to convince Wilf to sign McNabb in the offseason and not draft a QB until the 5th or 6th round. That would be another huge mistake but Wilf has absolutely no football sense and would probably go along with him. Childress is a complete disaster. He will ruin this franchise for years to come if he stays as the coach.'nuff said.

I don't think mcnabb will be a viking next year.. we don't have enough weapons for him to come to minnesota I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to join a struggling rebuilding team I'm guessing he will be in a bears uniform. Thats good news for us he's not the qb we need anyways.. this team is either going to start tj next year or someone in the draft is starting for us lets hope its not tj. I have a feeling this qb position will not be solved for a while. I guess wilf was right we are rebuilding and they don't care about the vikings fans... money is enough for those guys the fans come last.

TJ is 3-2 as the starter and all the other games when anyone else started we havent won once.. im not saying TJ is the QB of the future but with the receivers we have i dont even think tom brady would do good. If Tj learns how to look around and not jump everytime he throws the ball he has a good arm and the only reason i see him not being the qb of the future is becuz he get injured to much

I think Childress is a good assistant coach. We had the best draft and he got rid of all the off-the-field problems. To bad him and Tomlin couldn't of switched coaching positions.
