I want to know how the ref standing right under the goal post missed this call? Can anyone say the fix was in.I think someone needs to look into this guys background.Or have him get his eyes checked.

Great point. Nobody in the media has really mentioned this either. All the focus has been on the head referee and whether or not he used replay.....but the head referee would have never had to take any action at all had the one back judge not incorrectly signaled that the kick was no-good.

I'm not sure if that guy thought it hit the crossbar (and not the back support) or if he saw it hit the back support and just didn't know the ruling....but either way, that's where it all started.

THE NFL RULE IS IF THE BALL HITS ANY OBJECT PAST THE CROSS BAR THE FIELD GOAL IS GOOD. IT DOESNT MATTER WHERE THE BALL COMES TO A REST. IS A HOME RUN NOT A HOME RUN IF IT BOUNCES BACK INTO THE FIELD? IS A BASKET NOT A BASKET IF IT IS TIPPED BACK UP THROUGH THE NET. IS A GOAL IN HOCKEY NOT A GOAL IF IT DOESNT STAY IN THE NET.
ONE OF THE REFS SAW THE BALL HIT THE SUPPORT BAR AND HE PLEADED THE CASE WITCH GOT THE CALL OVERTURNED, WHICH WAS THE RIGHT CALL.
