Sorry to hear it. I was hoping that this game would mean more. I hope that Zook can bring them back. Next year it would be great if this game was for the Big Ten title. Or at least position at the top of the conferance. Good luck next year Illini.

Typical Zook comment...he has no idea of what's going on during the game and after. How 'bout lousy coaching, lousy play calling, lousy special teams for starters....

Florida was right to bounce this guy (recruiting ability aside) once they realized he can't coach.

On the bright side, Illinois did extend one streak yesterday--18 years and counting since the Illini had consecutive winning seasons.

Food for thought. Team records since 1995:

NU: 83-84
NIU: 72-89
Illinois: 60-101-1

the last comment by the upper classman says it all. the attitude
at practice...there are lots of coaching problems on this very talented, but lazy team. they have no team leader..unlike OSU where you can see already Prior has his guys attention. I live in SEC country and know how they feel about Zook. hope next year is better

"How does Ron Guenther still have a job?"

In all seriousness, I don't think that the university administration cares how successful we are in football as long as.......

1) the DIA is able to sell just enough football and basketball tickets to fund the non-revenue sports

2) we aren't on major probation.
