I think this Defense will keep improving as the season progresses. Our depth on defense give's us the edge as opposing offensive lines will wear down towards the middle and end of this season. The Viking's D-line should stay fairly fresh through out the season.. I think the Purple Machine is reeving it up. They just need to fine tune some things and the sky's the limit. Unlike our division rival's who are blowing out their head gaskets and we've barley gotten out of the gate...Looking forward to Monday Night...Are you ready for some football...
Go Vikes!!!!!!!!!!

If they are doubling the edges, four people blocking two, and they regularly double Kevin Williams, that leaves 5 offensive players against 8 defensive players to run the play.
Better odds than results.

DON'T WORRY. FIX IT. The lack of pass rush is a major problem, regardless of what any member of the defense or coaching staff may say. If we can't get pressure on quarterbacks on a base defensive package and need to send linebackers, corners, and safeties just to get any pressure whatsoever, we are going to get torched on quick openers and on many deep routes if they can pick up the blitz. Sacks by blitzing defenders should be a bonus, gravy, icing on the cake, whatever you want to say. We need a pass rush from the front four if our defense is going to have a prayer. Whether it is effort, conditioning, or the scheme we are using, something needs to change right now. Only a sack is a sack. Hurries are great. Sacks are better.

You had the "Fearsome Foursome", the "Purple People Eaters" (loved them when I was growing up), the "Steel Curtain" and now the Queens have the "Lack of Sacks"? Viagra can fix that!

I guess the Vikes just need to play your bears to get their sacks back on track. How many did your team give up the other night!? Oh yeah.....10! hahaha

Yes, plus Frazier then has the option of sending his 'backers on gap blitzes with everyone worried about Allen and Williams. Nice luxury for him to have.

Loved every one of them. Living in Denver it was easy to see Jay C was a loser. He starts moping under the helmet and he's toast. Beat the hell out of him for good old times

You'd have more of a story if the Twins changed their name to "Off" that way the headlines would read "Yankees Beat Off Again"
