I like to see Sage win the Starting QB position.. I think he can manage the game and see the defense better then TJ.. The only knocked on him is that his arm is not as strong as Jackson..

GO VIKES!!!

That's a sad fact about his arm strength.
Apparently, he doesn't have much of a gun which surprised me. I hadn't heard someone actually call it weak but one reporterís description was;

"The ball was traveling so slow through the air, that had it not been wobbling so much, a butterfly could have landed on it."
OUCH!

BOTTOM LINE: THEY ARE BOTH LESS-THAN-AVERAGE BACK-UP QUARTERBACKS!!!!!!!! WE ARE NOT GOING TO GO ANYWHERE WITH THESE TWO YAHOO'S!!!!!!!!

Good thing is.....this WILL end up being THE LAST YEAR that we have to look at Childress's dumb@$$!!!

Mike ol' boy, relax my friend, Humphrey Bogart could win with this schedule. Vikes will cruise to a division championship then crap the bed at play off time. At least the season will be fun to watch.

How did Chilly Willy get to be a head coach? Every time he tries to communicate, he sounds like a complete idiot. Everything he says is the same. It almost sounds like he has talking points that he is not allowed to stray away from. If he sounds this way to the media, how does he sound to his players in the locker room?

A scenario which I have sadly seen more than a few times in the last 35 years of Viking football. Big problem: uncertain QB quality. Bigger problem: Klink.

wounded ducks-same old problem-no QB or head coach. Some things never change-this is it for Chilly 8-9 wins tops this season if with an easy schedule

The team has an OBLIGATION to get Rosenfels every opportunity to start. With him, a chance - I repeat, chance for success exists. We know he has a brain and understands defenses - always a plus in the NFL. On the flip side, we know Jackson is positively useless and untalented. We know he has had WAY more than enough time to develop and show things. Pro players and analysts, even trying not to be mean to this flop, agree to a man - he is not made for the NFL, and no yappings of Jackson fans will ever chasnge that because it is a FACT, story over. When a man has no feel whatsoever for the game, it is obvious to all who watch - even apologists and idiots (i.e. Jackson fans).

Even sadder yet is that they're at least three times better than GB this season. The sorry-@$$ed coach over there is fielding a team with 1 good QB, 1 good reciever, 1 fair to good RB, and several decent LBs. And, a defense being "rebuilt".$*cks that MN is just a QB shy, and that's pretty much it. Pretty lame division.

doesn't matter - bears will win division anyway

Okay, you probably already read what Peter King had to say... "I think Sage Rosenfels was the Minnesota starter before Tarvaris Jackson went down with a strained knee at practice the other day, and he's still going to be the starter now, obviously. And I wouldn't be surprise if John David Booty beat out Jackson for the backup job." ...all I can say is, wow.

I doubt it....With "what"? Chicago can buy the biggest Trojan there is, but if there's not much to put it onto, it's pretty much useless.- Cutler doesn't have the receivers he did in Denver, or the line that he had there. Chicago's defense, although still pretty good, isn't as good as what MN has. It's aging too much. Every season now, it gets just alittle weaker. MN takes division. Again. Look what they did with a good defense & Rex.

E J is a rock solid stud. It was sad to see him go down last year. He alone is reason to have hope for this team.

Thanks for posting about the subject matter! Seriously, having Henderson back kind of feels like a key offseason addition. It seems that he is gonna be the type of player, if he's able to stay healthy, whose playing career will be marked by what he does in his 30's more than what he did in his 20's. Especially because he doesn't have a lot of wear and tear on his body for some one who is 29.

This was the Tribs snafu not mine. I posted on the EJ article but it kept flipping back? Don't know how but it did. Sure do apologize for wasting your 30 seconds reading an unrelated article.

Henderson's injury last year was very detrimental. His fill-in's (especially Harris) many times would go a complete game without a tackle. A MIDDLE LB WITHOUT A TACKLE...UNBELIEVABLE!

Greenway and Leber did a nice job, and with Henderson back, this group is the strength of the team!
