I have to agree. Take the (ahem) medicine now and roll the dice that we make the playoffs. If we do, we then possess some of that rare "Oh Oh" factor in the minds of our playoff foes. We could be tough to handle outdoors, in poor weather conditions. We can run AND make you one dimensional--you won't be able to run on us. Those guys would be fresh and we could be surprisingly dangerous from that point on. No one would look forward to playing us--not NYG, not Dallas, not anyone in the NFC.

I am glad that you mentioned Robison. I would add letroy geoun? as a position filler. if it were a tiome for Childress to prove his coachability, now would be perfect.

Tom, I'm not sure what sport you are watching but it's not football. Take a look at the games the packers and bears have (actually pay attention to football) and you will see that the purple is going to have to win 3 out of the next 4. And, remember the playoffs last year? Tom Coughlin doesn't rest his players, he doesn't believe in it. Where the hell is your head. Must be waiting for baseball.

Listen up, you dickweed bears and packer morons, this is the way things are:

The Bears are unlikely to win a tiebreaker with the Vikings as long as Minnesota defeats Detroit this weekend.(The best the Bears could hope for is winning the No. 5 tiebreaker, strength of victory, which can't be determined until the regular season is complete.)

As a result, the Bears almost certainly would need four victories to finish 10-6 and win the division outright over a 9-7 Vikings team. Will the Bears, who haven't won more than two consecutive games since 2006, suddenly grab four straight?

The Packers, meanwhile, need four victories to get to 9-7.(One would have to come against Chicago on Dec. 22, thus eliminating the possibility of a practical three-way tie.) Green Bay would win the title in that scenario because of a better division record. But can the Packers, who have lost seven of their past 10 games, reel off four in a row?

So, in summary, the Vikings very likely can win the NFC North with victories in two of their final four games, with one of them coming against the hapless Lions. It's by no means a slam dunk, but not nearly as insurmountable as it might have appeared in the initial emotion of the NFL's ruling.

I agree, it sucks but everyone knew this was coming. After the Bears victory everyone was elated and believing the Vikes would make it to the playoffs now there is some doubt. I knew it was coming and hoped otherwise. But Robison is a stud and I like what I have seen so far from Guion. We can do it. SKOL VIKES!!!

as much as all fans wanted to think this might not happen, i think we all knew it would. having said that, this is an opportune time for the vikes to suck it up and show their true character. do i think we can win the division yes...it will be tough but i have confidence the players sitting in for the wall will have that much more determination to play top notch d and propel the team to the top.the only fear i have is that if they do win the division, the klinkster will get a reprieve and screw it up even more in the off season. the wall may have a couple of cracks in it, but it hasn't crumbled completely...GO VIKES!!!

You do have a point. One thing I do not understand though is why do they let a thug and Criminal like Adam Jones to keep coming back time after time?

I certainly am glad that Zygi got rid of that "loose cannon," Mike Tice and brought in a true disciplinarian in Brad Clueless. Only problem is, if you check the scorecard, Klink has surpassed Tice in problems, and incidents with players discipline, both on, and off the field. Attaway Zygi! Good choice!

Based on his references to Dulcolax and colons, etc., I think Mr. Powers is confusing laxatives and diuretics.

Great Comment....I would also like to add that you have gamblers in the NFL also...how come none of them have ever been suspended or received a "Lifetime Ban" for betting on their team winning???

OR BETTER YET.....How many times had Darryl Strawberry been suspended and reinstated for drug charges???

It is way time to start cleaning up professional sports...sure there are people with attitudes and character....but we don't need the "drugs and thugs" that are becoming rampant. Two strike rule in all professional sports should be the norm....first offense, shame on you...a second offense, bye bye.

Vikings remaing opponents record: 26-22 (keep in mind Detroit is 0-12). Green Bay: 15-33; Chicago: 20-28, they also play 3 of 4 at home. Where's "Dandy" Don Meredith to sing, "Turn out the lights, the party's over?"

"Fortunate", I'll say.....This team has been handed at least 3 wins. Phantom pass interference against the Lions on the last play, missed FG by Packers, and on and on. They are not a good squad, time will tell.

SHUT UP this is a huge lose period and unless the boys manage to win in court this will cripple the team weather they make the playoffs or not.
What an absolute moronic post, do you think T.P gives a rats behind what you think?
