Should be things to talk about Sunday. All the papers are running re-hash right now. - Think I'll take a jaunt over to The Green Bay papers and pick on the cheeseturds for awhile. (KGB's s**ked since Nov., Rodgers looks more like a deer-in-the-headlights than TJax ever did, Brett the Jet, Etc. etc.)

With an injury prone, marginaly qualified quarterback (Tjack) the Vikings, and Chilly, are in for any awfully long season. Not withstanding the overall good they have. It is unfortunate they are so locked on a loser.

The funny part is, AYS, that I'm willing to bet there's plenty of teams out there that would take Tavaris as the starter compared to their current QBs on the roster. He's looked good so far, and while he may be injured, it wasn't anything too serious and he has the rest of the preaseason to get healthy enough to kick the Pack's ass on the 8th.

I like Tavaris. I feel that this is the year that he will silence a lot of critics as he breaks out.

Ever year since I was a little boy the Minnesota Vikings have made this adjustment or that adjustment in the off-season. And in August or September, people always have Super Bowl fever. That fever has usually been cooled down by December. I love them to death, but am so used to getting burned that I keep expectations low.

This season, as long as the Vikings get to the playoffs and make a somewhat decent showing, I will be satisfied. It is tough to expect more. If they do anything less, it is not as big a disappointment. If they do anything more, it is gravy.

Rooster-I'm pretty sure Booty is not going to make the starting roster unless he exels against Pittsburgh & Dallas. He has looked absolutely lost out there. Its really sad to say, but I would rather see Brooks make the final cut then Booty. Send this kid to the practice squad and watch his career spiral out. TJ should get some rest, even if he comes out against the Steelers and puts up 200 yards and 2 tds in a half...he might have more swelling in that knee on real game day (9/8/08)
I find it funny to see how many TJ bashers are out there...I live in Giantsville...and before Eli won the superbowl,he had just as many. Funny how that works.

Pretty boring Vikes news lately, which is probably good. I've been bugging the cheesers on jsonline too, and it will be completely entertaining if Rogers plays lousy again this week. Still worried that Berrian's toe deal will last all season, particularly if the offseason didn't heal it from last year. Good to see Robison will be back practicing next week. How about that Bears D last night?

Booty...the name says it all. Actually, it just makes me chuckle. You've got a good solid product in TJack...and really, you guys don't need a "Elway/Montana/Peyton " clone to win games. You have AP, which will take a crap load of pressure off of any QB...even Tommy Maddox.

This is not gameday, so I'm not gonna start trash talking yet. Having said that...good luck tomorrow...yer gonna need it.

Solid product, not a finished product. Off pre-season games, he looks better than last year (in spite of the injury). 68.2% completion...100 ypg in a limited role, 2 TDs and NO INTs. Next time bring your brains and not your very very unappreciated and unimportant opinion.

You know what? Hell with the injuries...let them rest, lets see the backups play their butts off and make it hard for the coaches come cut days. I like what I've seen out of some of these new guys. We already know what the vets can do excluding T-Jack but I've liked what I've seen so far in his limited play...not worried in the least. Like I said before ...we just need a Jake Delohmme not a Peyton Manning. Just hand the damn ball off and throw the occasional first down and bomb for paydirt and keep turnovers to a minimum.

SKOL VIKINGS....BEAT PITT!
