<quoted text>Hey CT.......so you would like to see them go out and get help on the D-line? Personally I think there are other areas that need to be addressed first. I think if they scrap the c-2 they will be able to dial up more blitz's, creating better/more opportunities to blow up the QB........the front 4 were disappointing but there is still GUION(sp?) and Robison as back-ups and the original 4, not to mention Kennedy. Guion has showed improvement.
Losing that 3rd hurt.........
QB, RG, CB, LT, SS, DL, RB, RB..........IN THAT order IMO for this draft as it stands now. Maybe they can grab a FA or trade Edwards for another D-line guy or vice versa but I think the c-2 impeded the front 4 in getting to the QB with teams playing ahead of us all season, they just went to the short pass game and run game.......... if the QB isn't in the pocket long he isn't gonna get sacked. As it stands now this D is ranked 6th overall..........but that is mis leading, last 2 weeks have been artrocious.
Hi, erie. I hope you had a great Christmas weekend. To answer your question, yes, a DT would rank high on my list. I think we can fix a lot of problems on defense by putting more pressure up the middle on QB's. There are some very good DT's entering the draft in 2011 - some that might be the best value on the board when we are picking in the early rounds. The loss of that 3rd rounder makes it all the more important to grab the best player available. From where we might be picking, the best positions could very well be QB, DT, and CB. I wouldn't reach for a QB if the guy you covet is gone - DT and CB are much safer picks.

The outcome of tonight's game doesn't matter since the Lions will have the tie-breaker advantage.

The only way they'll finish out of last place is by beating the Lions next week. Who have somehow managed a 3-game win streak with their 3rd string QB winning the first two against playoff contenders. If the hapless Lions can win with THEIR quality of 3rd stringers then the "Superbowl Contender" Viqueens should be able to win short a few players also.

Hopefully Favre will start and throw another career ending interception
