Good teams create their own good luck. Don't fool yourself - the past 2 games haven't been about a few unlucky breaks or bad calls. They were downright pathetic, made even more embarrassing by the national spotlight on MNF this week. Yes, the Vikings have replaced the early season Jets as the biggest circus in town this year. Time to get through the season and start the healing/ rebuilding process.

unfortunatly amputation may be the cost-effective method with the Vikings moving to L.A.

Bad breaks? sure , a few suspect calls/non calls in some games <I'm looking at you first GB game> . But this team has shot themselves in the foot so many times its comical anymore. Our tight end has committed 14 pre snap penalties on offense that have contributed to drive killing. Our QB ...playing his guts out unfortunately has been battered , abused , beaten up and picked off way too many times this year. The defense , the supposed strength of this team has been a joke this year. If it wasn't for Antoine Winfield playing his arse off it would be easily the worse secondary in the NFL this season . Madieu Willians is a complete JOKE ...worst defender in the game in my opinion. The offensive line ...utter crap this year ...our center can't snap the ball or stay healthy . Bryant McKinnie and his ole' blocking style has done quite a bit into beating Favre senseless ...jetison his worthless ass please and get anyone else in there. At least Longwell has been good in the kicking game and AP while not having hardly any holes to run thru with the non existant OL there have had decent years. Blow this old failing team up this offseason and get some people on this team that have heart ..and talent.

"a little nasty", Kevin? Whew, wonder what a lotta nasty looks like?

And please, Mr Smith, don't lump a potential free agent signing of Punto in the same sentence with discussing Pavano and Thome.

"We've got all the talent in the world, but for some reason we're not getting the breaks we got last year."

Isn't this comment somewhat of a contradiction? He talks about "all the talent in the world," then seems to indicate that last year's success, and this year's failure, is a result of "the breaks." I don't remember anyone on the team saying last year, "We really are mediocre on talent. Thankfully we've gotten a lot of breaks."

Do the bad breaks include Kevin's late, cheap shots on Bears players? When was the last time Kevin Williams hit a quarterback BEFORE he threw the ball? He received a stupid personal foul penalty -- and should have received two (one was incorrectly charged to Ray Edwards). The Williams Wall was absent this year -- was it because they can't take steroid-masking agents anymore? Remember when we were all concerned about the Williams' suspensions? Maybe they received "in game" suspensions -- meaning they had to play all year like they weren't actually there????!!!!

Although the Vikes defense has had there share of issues during the season, particularly with the safeties. The defense as a whole has done well under the circumstances. The main issue with the Vikes has been and continues to be the offense as a whole. Too many injuries, not enough depth, and poor coaching. Any QB behind that O-line would have problems. The Vikes need to concentrate on suring up those areas in the off season

Please do not bring back Nick Punto...if he was so coveted on the FA market, he would have signed with another team by now.

An early Christmas present for all the Viking faithful. NFL Network is reporting that Bill Parcells will go to Minnesota to become the "Football Guru". He will have control over all football operations. I've heard the report twice but have not found any other source to confirm. I hope it all works out for you guys up there.

If Williams believes this, he is clearly delusional

Someone might want to tell Kevin that he has the worst two safeties in the league and two 3rd string corners on the outside. No doubt that besides the O Line (of course QB) they are the crutch of the team.
