Time for Fran to go away.. Who cares what he thinks? he is so jealous of Favre it isn't even funny. I loved Fran when he was our QB,,,he was a great competitor, no doubt and very talented plus he was a very smart player...however, his time has come and is long gone so get over it and just go away cuz really, no one cares what you think anymore anyway......
Can we please

have a moratorium on pathetic, sad, washed up, d o u c h ebags like Francine Tarkenton being quoted in the paper? The guy is so desparate to keep his name in the public eye I'm afraid next he will resort to total buffoonery....oh wait, he's already there.

Favre looked troubled? Not in the game I saw. I loved watching Tarkington play back in the day, but could care less about what he has to say now.

I think it's sad when a Giants fan like myself has more respect for Fran than you lousy bandwagon fans...

Interesting! I also felt troubled and uncomfortable by the sight of Favre in purple. Then I realized I had put my jockey shorts on backwards! Easily fixed -- watched the rest of the game much relieved.
Try it, Sir Francis!

Awkward? Yeah, maybe for a few minutes.
Then you strap 'em on, go out and do your job like a professional. You're getting paid umpteen million dollars to do exactly that.
I'd feel more awkward as a Packer fan, sitting there booing someone who played his guts out EVERY SINGLE GAME for 15-odd seasons for you....just because he didn't go quietly into retirement just because you thought he should.
Boo who you want, I guess it's your right as a Packer fan to do that. But don't call yourself a FOOTBALL fan, OK? If you can't respect what the man's doing now, at least respect what he once did for you.

Favre looked awkward? More awkward than Fran's hairpiece? That's Incredible, Francis.

We dont care about Fran. He was against Favre coming to the Vikings. Now he wants to talk about how well he is playing?? BS. Keep him out of our winning season.

"Bandwagon fans?" Give me a break. We sell out every game. Most games in our history have been sell outs. We buy stuff all the time. Are you nuts? Jealous maybe. Your QB is the most overpaid player in football today. 3 loses in a row. Ya, theres your 40 million dollar QB for ya.

The reason Fran wanted Favre to stay retired is because he want his buddies kid to have a chance at being the greatest QB of all time by breaking Favres records. Peyton is the only QB that could of gotten close had Favre retired, granted he stayed healthy. Therefore Fran, that pretty much says that you are not a Viking fan anymore if ya don't want whats best for the team. Keep your mouth shut Fran, don't even watch the games anymore, get a new hair piece, one that fits, and stay out of our games. Go root for your buddies kids teams. Your an idiot

Tark sounds like he is doing some major back-pedalling from his harsh comments in August. Favre has gone from "a disgrace" to "playing as well as ever" in just a couple months. You can take the foot out of your mouth now, sir Francis.

Awkward? Not the word I'd use. I lean towards gross, embarassing and just plain ugly. He's an old man, who should have stayed retired.
