I think it's a good idea not to have your A-team out during preseason.

1. If they get injured during preseason, in a game that doesn't officially count, they could be out for the duration of games that do officially count.

2. The new guys and second/third stringers who don't get or haven't had as much playing time in the past get an opportunity to hone thier skills against competition.

3. It preserves some mystique - let the competition keep wondering how much they are going to run/throw/etc. instead of handing them the playbook in preseason.

You guy are idiots... They're making $250k a year guaranteed and you want them to go out and potentially suffer a season-ending injury? And let me clarify. Season-ending means playing, not money.

I know ... let's force catalist Pro-Bowl safety Bob Sanders to participate in a meaningless "warm-up" game so that we can "feel" we are getting our money's worth out of him. What an excellent idea! And while we are at it, let's have Peyton Manning mow all our lawns so he can show us the appreciation he "owes" us for HIS hard work, professionalism and talent.

Idiots.

When the games matter, IF they can play then they will. In fact - if you know anything about this team, you won't be able to stop them. It's their job and they are they best in the world at it. BTW - if there wasn't a demand for what they do then they would not get paid what they get paid. So please bemoan player salaries elsewhere.

some people are just dumb. Why take a chance playing your starters in a pre-season game.......people complaining about this are just ignorant to the fact that these guys go through more physically in one year than most of us go through in a lifetime.......if they are tired...or injured...let them rest until the REAL season starts..........get a brain people

Players don't get paid for preseason games. It's just more money in the bank for the owners.

Pre-season is to long anyway. A couple of games would be enough, as most teams would agree on.

All you have to do is get a better look at guys that are questionable, and you would be ready to go!

I love that people complain about preseason. Seriously, do you guys even understand the game? I for one, love watching the games to see hopefuls battle for a spot on the team. Remember, preseason, at least for the Colts, is no indication of how we're going to do. Afterall, the last few years, our preseason record was not fantastic!

Dear Indiana residents who are just now learning to read,

- Lucas Oil Stadium is NOT only for the Colts; they're just the primary users who get the most visibility.
- The stadium is being paid for mainly by an increase in food & beverage and hotel tax in Marion County. It's not your high property taxes, and with the snide comments, obviously it's not your donations, either, because you just spent your paycheck on Miller High Life and Dominos.
- Listen to the smart people here: This is preseason, which means nothing. It gets guys into the groove a little bit, but mainly gives coaches a chance to evaluate rookies and young talent to decide if they're worth keeping on the roster.
- If I had my way, every significant starter would only play one series, MAYBE one quarter at max in any of the four preseason games to prevent injury.

GO BLUE. PLAYOFFS HERE WE COME.

Yes, preseason trash-talking, come get some! It'll be tough in Dallas once T.O. explodes and throws a fit and ruins another locker room. It's only a matter of time. Have fun with that.

By the way, somebody remind me how successful Wade Phillips has been in the playoffs? Or should I say how unsuccessful?

Sidenote: Did anybody watch the Hall of Fame game? How many times did Jason David get SCORCHED on man coverage in that game; 4? 5? It's going to be a LOOONG night for him when he has to cover Marvin or Reggie come Sept. 6th!

PEYTON MANNING IS KING.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Sagittarius

You're in rather a downbeat mood, Sagittarius, and you definitely need cheering up. Unfortunately, it's heavy weather at the moment, as Mars slows and the cosmos rather disturbed, but later in the month is wonderful for you. Money problems are particularly difficult to deal with right now, because you can't help worrying about them. Now that prevents you seeing the best course of action to solve them. Relax, even miserable moods soon pass.
