We need a QB who can deliver the ball in stride and on time. And we need receivers who can catch balls that aren't perfectly thrown (ours sometimes have issues even with those that are). Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Right now, we have neither.

Our poor receivers are getting abuse for dropping passes that hit them in the hands, poor boys! Booker, Davis, Peterson, Lloyd, Olsen and Hester while I watch Steve Smith catching passes one-handed! Maybe more effort, more concentration more tough-minded receivers is the answer?

Its the NFL....not every pass is going to be hit in stride. Orton threw balls that receivers should catch.

Agreed the Bears receivers couldn't even catch a cold.

The Bears have the worst set of wideouts in the NFL and that is plain and simple!

Assuming Paul is correct--which he is--according to the coach, our receivers
are playing at the top of their game, and should not be criticized. Yet Lovie and Jerry shoulder no accountability. That leaves us, the fan as represented by the sports writer, to be at fault.

Well-coached teams work on the basics, which includes hitting receivers in stride. So, I'm going to hang this one on the coaches.

These guys have sucked all year, and they're whining about getting criticized? Too bad. They'll really have something to complain about next season when they're all un-employed.

I agree with all of you. Recievers suck, but not as much as the guy who said,"I don't give a damn." And he's right...he hasn't given a DAMN all year in making catches. Hope the Bears open their eyes and show Davis a pass out the door. As far as the others, I believe they are giving it their best...but their best adds up to average.

Rashied Davis should go back to the now defunct Arena League where he belongs.
