Is this going to be like Peavy/B.Roberts and Kobe/Gasol/Garnett? It probably won't even get that far though. The Bears will never even make a phone call to Denver.

I'm not one of those people who thinks that Orton is the problem. I think he'd be fine if he had a receiver that could get open once in a while.
That said, the Bears would be CRAZY not to try to get Cutler if they could - I bet if they did that, it would also attract more free agent receivers like T.J.
This would clearly be an opportunity to upgrade.

If only the Bears had an organization that cared about its product, then they would go after Cutler. But why should they when the product is selling out and making money (as of now 30mil surplus).

Its sad but everything that is supposed to be done wont get done. We go after Mus. but not Hush. and all it took was a second round pick to get Cass. Lets bow our heads for a moment of silence or better yet let us all pray to the football gods and just hope for the best. GO BEARS!!!!

Is Bears management afraid that a big name QB will get more credit than they would have?
This is the same regime that is afraid to have any coaches that ever played for the team.

You've gotta be kidding. Bears trade for a pro bowl qb? Even if he'd marry Virginia M. to get into the swing of it.(Oh, she's still married to Michael M?) Well you get the picture. Santa Claus is a podunk town and a kid who can fling it like Cutler can would be loved by fans far and wide...even the drunks at Soldier Field. Angelo won't take the bait. He's waiting for another Christmas present...one to give him a new brain.

I'm all for getting cutler. sucks that angelo believes that OUR coaching can change the outcome of a season.

on the other side, does it feel like hanie is similar to cutler? big arm, mobile. not trying to jump on the hanie bagwagon, but angelo really needs to realize that hanie could probably have a legitimate chance to outperform orton in preseason. oh wait, didn't he do that last year?

Why ruin a good young QB behind an offensive line that can't block, elementary pass calls that other teams figure out & adjust to by the 2nd qtr? Let's just enjoy below average football in a below average division and call it a year.

There is no way the Broncos would give up on Cutler, unless the Bears were willing to give too much. What part of the current Bears organization makes you think they will give up more than they have to? This isn't Dave Wannstedt giving a number 1 to get Rick Mirer. I bet the most Angelo would offer is Orton and a number 2, and the Broncos are not going to take that.

PLEASE NO!!! Let's NOT go after another weak arm, tired soul from another team. WE HAVE a great arm that needs to continue to be developed. Orton is great and getting better. We need another wide receiver that will complement Hester and throw the defenses for a loop ... like Macklin from Mizzou! Have 2 strong wides & Forte and the defenses will never know what is coming at them.

When trades like this are proposed in the media - always ask yourself "Would I do it if I was GM?"

...and the answer here is ---- NO. I would not trade Jay Cutler.

So why would the Broncos? Hurt feelings go away quickly. Remember when Lance Briggs had played his last down for the Bears?

I thought browns fans were clueless when it comes to saving their team but you guys take the cake.
Jay Cutler is already a bust and a shown primadonna and you think he's going to save the Bears?

Jay Cutler does not have a weak arm at all. His arm strength is definitely not won of his weaknesses. The biggest concern with him is his inability to read defenses and tendency to throw bad interceptions.
