Yeah, it's hard to argue with your logic! I think Hester MIGHT do a bit better (for that money, he should!!), and if Orton stays healthy, he might look pretty good. However, I just don't see our D making any strides, with Brown gone, Urlacher in decline, etc.
7-9 looks about right to me! Later, Bill!

I think the Bears will still be fun to watch...... There's still plenty of good players,... just not enough to reach the top.

The rest of the NFL Central will be better this year,... so the Bears blew it by not grabbing it last year when it was theirs for the taking.

I still like Orton...... He'll be interesting.......... And as I write this, the Rexologists have about 23 hours left to hope that the Bears will "Bring Back Rex"......( THEN what will they write about ??)

As for Hester ..... He'll be OK...... They'll stop trying to make a Brain Surgeon out of him and just tell him "to run like hell on every route"...... And occasionally, he and Orton will connect...... It'll be fun to watch.

Boy, I hope this year's Draft isn't as disappoining as last year's.

Here's hoping.

OTIS" My Man!(Animal house - 1978). I'm down whitcha bra...nice lookin' axe. I'm with armdnhamrd (Illinois entertainers band directory). I'm absofernuckinlutely on yer wagon on this one. They KNOW that their playbook is Cr--, has been Cr-- for the last 20 years, and they keep using the damned thing instead of just throwing it on the burn pile at the end of the season along with their collection of underachieving QB's, Geriatric defensive backs, and incompetent coaches (They're keeping THESE too,****?). I wouldn't really expect much in the way of major off season acquisitions since the McCheapskys always roll bargain basement and then paint it up to be all that (Ala Chris Williams) and a bag of chips.
Nah, I'd just be willing to settle for them giving Orton a fair chance (Since he did EARN it), but even that prospect disturbs me. This team has developed a real bad habit of hanging their quarterbacks out in the breeze like a frickin' Pinata for opposing defenses to take swings at, with the biggest sticks they can find.
This has to END! And come to think of it, so does the profoundly stupid play calling, The three yards and a cloud of dust (particularly when it's 3rd and 15), and most especially that "Swiss Cheese" pass defense (I mean seriously, it's like the "Throw the ball through the hole in the plywood" at the state fair, It looks hard but if you're not staggering drunk it really isn't all that challenging).
And if they MUST give those **** that ARE Babbich and Turner, yet one more year , then we as fans must raise holy H--- if they screw this up AGAIN (GAWD knows we shouldn't have to, they should already be gone, but you never can be too certain). Anyway I could go onandonandonandon...ad nauseum, but really what's the point.
What I mean to say is I'll hang (I ALWAYS hang, even when I'm fed up with 'em and want to give it up). Keep the faith brutha.

Hi, Jerseyboy.

Glad to see that you're back.

I thought for a while that you might have gone blind !

THAT would be very bad for your QB school.

The hair?......... That's no big problem,... altho you might have trouble gripping the ball,... much like Rex with his small hands.

Yeah well I bet you never met a (butt) crack you didn't like. I see losers like you every weekend in the clubs I hafta play. They're easy to spot because they won't hang unless the music is deafeningly loud. That way they don't actually have to TALK to the women they pathetically try to hit on. Rosie's still alright with you eh?
