That was a very bad call, especially that late in the game that could decide the game. The refs decided the game more than the players decided it. That's really ashame that the refs have to decide a game at such a pivotal part of the game, especially!:| LSU could've pulled this game out depite have unfavorable playing conditions with FAR SUPERIOR ATHLETES!:|

Has anybody ever seen that penalty called in a game before? Then again, I am not particularly surprised with an officiating crew that needed to call a tv time out in order to determine the correct down was not 4th down but 2nd down. Les Incompetents

People are making too big of a deal out of this penalty. As a Penn State fan, I can agree that the call was dicey, at best.

However, there was little time left on the clock, LSU had no timeouts, and with the field conditions the way they were, LSU would have had to get at least to the 20 for a realistic shot at a field goal.

Penalty or not, that wasn't going to happen. When the penalty did happen, though, my first thought was "Damn, here's the excuse that every Penn State hater is going to point at and whine about."

This penalty was justified he pushed the ref in the process. LSU punt returner waived for a fair catch and then ran the ball back 40 yards.....that was not justified It was a sloppy mess but at least our PS boys came

How about LSU smackin' PSU center while PSU was several yards away from the goal line. PSU receives a penalty for illegal snap, when LSU player intentinally created the foul. Things even themselves out.

By the way, anyone care to to tell me how much time LSU let run off the clock after the refs set the ball?

As a PSU fan there were a number of times that Bowman AND Ordick were rushing the passer and you could clearly see the hold and was never called. So all you PSU haters get over it and as for LSU BEING A superior team didn't you read the part about 41 yards rushing as a team and only 9 first downs that's real superior.Like Bobby Bowden said when JoePa hangs it up he should go down as the best coach in College football history most career wins most bowl appearences and all yeah the most bowl wins Paterno rules and is the toughest coach in football stands on sideline rain snow or sunshine no hat like yesterday with a soakin wet head Les made sure he had his hat on so he wouldn't get his little pansy head wet

Seems like all you Southern Belles do is complain about Refs and field conditions. Hate to break it to you honey but the refs were horrible BOTH ways!

Plus how mant sure INTs and possible TDs did those "superior athletes" drop???? Seems to me if someone is "superior" then that implies the ability to overcome obstacles that hold "normal" athletes back....

And what would you little ladies ever do in playoff where you might have to come North to play some REAL football in the SNOW?? Oh man, theres not enough tissues in the world to handle your fragile emotions then....

Plus if Bowman is laying on the ball, which yes is illegal, that's not for some O-Lineman to decide and committ another penalty in turn.

As much as they sucked, if Bowman was doing something wrong, that was for the refs to decide.

Yes they missed, but your bonehead lineman should have never done what he did.

Plus I don't buy this "they were just in a hurry" crap; because when they finally did line up the wasted like 7-10 more seconds before the snap, so shove that weak excuse too

Bottom line: outside of Bama and FL the SEC is a FRAUD, get over it!! For christ sakes, an acting school SHOULD have beaten Auburn, but the SEC sportmanship took over and they had to take out a lil ole kicker to squeak by hahaha

My question is:
If LSU is so superior to PSU, why was the score so close at this point of the game? Shouldn't they have had the game well under control by then? Who are they going to blame for sucking up the field next? The weatherman? Maybe the analysts? how about the ball handlers?

LSU did not play well, PSU played and was coached better so they won. Chew on that while you sit at home until next year. SEC is not as good as everyone claims. I would love to see these crybabies at Beaver Stadium in December. We could hear the teardrops hitting the frozen turf.

That and the fact that the game was played in the south SEC land. PSU overcame that. The better , faster and more physical team won. All you have is hester. He is a little boy. I was his size in the 7th grade.

True story!!!! These girls would absolute cry their faces off if they ever had to play in 10 degrees weather with snow.

Just like Sports Cars and SUVs. Sure on a perfect, dry, sunny day the sports car will be way faster. But throw in some bad weather and the SUV wins every time....

Funny, all these great point made by 'Whew' and "Argento is nuts', yet no reply from bawl baby DeathValley56 GHOST...must live up to his name in the face of the truth and disappears like a cowardly GHOST...

Cry all you want pal, if your team was so superior they would have been able to OVERCOME the obstacles and HANG ON TO THE DAMN BALL...

Speaking of hanging on to the ball...who won the turnover margin again?!?!? Weird! Maybe your excuses ought to start there...

Wasn't that the worse punting job ever? The PSU punter could not put one punt inside the 20 even when he was on the LSU side of the field. If he could punt as well as a high school punter, the game would not have been that close.
