Is Keith Jarrett happy now. He's the only person that thought ASU had a pie in the sky chance of playing with the big boys. Usually, you don't get lucky twice.

Regardless of yesterday's game, App has a great football program, a great group of players, and a top-notch coach.

Well said. There's a world of difference between the 2 programs that App. State opened with in 2007/2008.

Thanks, Jim. I have two children at App right now who are NOT in the football program, but we still may get a closer look at things than some. We have heard so much positive information about Coach Moore and the way he treats the team and people in general. However, you are so right...the difference between the two programs is enormous.

I just think it is crazy to assume that because Appalachian upset Michigan last year they would automatically upset LSU or other Divison I-A schools. On any given Saturday anything is possible, but upsets like App's over Michigan last season doesn't happen on a regular basis.

I think Appalachian is loaded with talent and as long as Armani Edwards stays healthy, they will probably win the SoCon and make a run at a four-peat; however, I'm just not sure they have enough "umph" to accomplish it again - but time will tell.

An SEC football team is a serious force to be reckoned with...I think App State got too big for their 'britches' after their win over Michigan last year. The SEC isn't one of the toughest conferences in college football for nothing.

However, you have to commend them for taking on LSU.

LSU did something that Michigan didn't do this year: Michigan took App. too lightly last year, LSU made sure not to make the same mistake

Sounds like sour grapes from a WCU fan to me. Look at the difference in scholarships and funding between ASU and LSU. I don't think they played like they can, but they weren't supposed to win. If they were then it wouldn't have been a possible "upset", just another game. What's WCU's excuse for losing to everyone in their own conference last year? I'm actually hoping that the CATS do have a good season. The players have put a lot of work into it. The fans just don't need to be cocky or enjoy other's defeats. Put your energy behind your local team and be a positive influence not a jerk.

The funny thing is, Moore didn't even know who the coach of LSU (the defending national BCS champions) was. Kinda makes you wonder. Although granted he has done a great job at appy.
