OMG are you kidding me. We trade Hillis for a QB who is not really even a good second tier QB. Thanks again JOSH!!! Get ready for another less than stellar year to come. Well I guess at least Peyton will get to play instead of ride the bench because of a coach with a attitude wont play a VERY talented RB/FB. We should have traded Moreno not Hillis.
I love it please more more

More of what? Insane talk?

Yes folks that is why we ended up with an 8-8 record...Hillis didn't play.

Hillis wasn't gonna be used while McD was a coach, simple as that. However, Quinn's no upgrade over Orton, and Brandstater should get a shot. For the record, you can look at Denver's season two ways. We were expected to win no more than 6, and we won 8, positive. Or, if you look at it like you should, which is a seasonal progression: We were 6-0. . . .and missed the playoffs, that's a failed season. I don't care about expectations, the fact of the matter was we were 3 and a half games up, and didn't make the playoffs.

Rumor has it a trade will be done with all of the draft picks that he is amassing to take Bradford.
Just what I am hearing...cause Delhomme ain't the answer over there.

The Browns have been pretty secretive since Holmgren came aboard, so logically it makes no sense for him to show his hand to everyone. By saying he wants Bradford, anyone we would trade with knows they can ask that much more for their pick. Holmgren wouldn't be in the position he is if he made mistakes this basic.

My guess is he has his eye on someone else, but he doesn't want anyone to pick up on who that is. He's dropping a false trail so no one will agree with Holmgren's assessment and draft that person first. Also, if he didn't say anything, people would be wondering and trying to figure it out.

Rumor is that Holmgren likes Tony Pike of Cincinati. Watching Pike play in college, impressive skills, just needs to beef up a bit because of his past injuries and the fact the NFL is bigger, faster, harder hitting than college. I don't know if Ryan Mallett of Arkansas is in the draft this year, he could be a good late round QB that could blossom with proper grooming. Cleveland needs some right side offensive linemen to help protect too.

I'd be surprised if the Browns didn't use one of their picks to draft a lineman for the right side. When you have this many picks, there is no reason to not draft one or even two linemen. I also heard about Pike, but who knows at this point. I'm hoping that we won't take a QB until the 3rd round, but who knows at this point.

Mallett most likely comes out next year. He reminds me alot of Troy Aikman.

If he does good this season he will be a top 5 pick next year for sure.

I haven't seen too much of him yet. I'll be watching this year to see how he does.

Thanks for the heads up.

He was recruited by Lloyd Carr for Michigan but after his freshman year Roriguez came in with the spread offense...Mallett is a drop back pocket passer ( Aikman ) and didn't fit so he transferred to Arkansas and has been kicking butt down there.

He has everything to make it in the NFL.

Dont waste your time

Mallett will be a joke

Besides

Browns already attempted the road of undrafted QB in Graham Harrell which is where Mallett Head will end up....undrafted

The 6-foot-7 238-pound Mallett

Sounds like the white version of JaMarcus Russell

Big and a "tough guy" in college but cant hang in the NFL

Browns need to avoid this loser and his foot issues and then they wont have to watch him ballon up to JaMarcus standards of 270 lbs
