I don't think Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels can definitively tell you the answer to that question. Full Story

Quinn is the answer to the question "what player could we trade for to immediately make our team worse?"

Everyone knows Orton stinks, but they're afraid to tell him and hurt his feelings. So, they brought in Quinn to make Orton look better by comparison. "See, buddy, you're not so bad. Look how much this new kid stinks."

Orton is serviceable, that's all. He gets the job done but he isn't likely to exceed expectations and deliver the phenomenal QB play we expect in Denver. Sims- not much worse than Orton, definitely not any better. Brandstater MIGHT be a future franchise QB, but he's not there yet. Brady Quinn is an unknown. His demonstrated ability isn't any worse than Sims and his potential, based on his collegiate performance and the numerous pre-draft evaluations, is phenomenal.

The point is McDaniels gave up virtually nothing for a potential something. There's no QB drama in Denver, only competition, which is a good thing. Maybe Brady develops into the player a lot of high paid scouts thought he would be, maybe not.
