The weeks leading up to the NFL Draft were once described by former Cleveland Browns GM Phil Savage as "the silly season", for all the rumors, speculation and innuendo that surface about trading player. Read more

of course ! they want to put their own mark on the team ! so.. a new quarterback.. how many years will this take?

year after year, yeah they better not increase the ticket price.. but you know... I'm tired of the Cleveland Browns sinking ship. I should have jumped when Art Model moved the team.

Forbes? magazine had it right on losing teams... I'm done... Pittsburgh (organization) has it right. I read they re-signed Randle El (receiver who throw winning pass in a superbowl.) Thanks for the memories Cleveland.. right ! ha

This guy from Seattle, whats his winning record again?

What is Homgren doing??!!! First Seneca Wallace...then he released D.A. which was expected...now they're going to bring in another "OLD" QB Jake Delhomme who has not exactly been A. In good health the last few seasons,,,Knee(s), Shoulder, elbow...and now they're shopping Quinn? I CANNOT TAKE LIVING THROUGH A SUB-PAR MISERABLE LOSING SEASON!!

Dont trade quinn!!!!!!!!!! they should of traded derek anderson instead of releasing him I know for a fact we could of got something from for him for sure. also they should sign jake Dehlomme because he is worth it and he has the experience playing in the playoffs and he got a good arm.
GO BROWNS!!!!!!!!!!

In reality Quinn has never been given a legitmate shot at QB. At least no where near the shot that Anderson was given. And until the Browns get some better talent at the wide receiver spots no QB will do any good. Our offensive line is much better than it was in the past, however we still need to address the right side of it though.

No one wanted DA for the price tag of 7 million. The genius that signed that deal with him wasted a lot of money. As for Jake, he's not the answer for us at 36 years old. At best he would be a transitional QB that steps in for a year while we draft a real starting QB.

No. Holmgren should work with him and give him a chance to see what he can do. He has never been given a legimate try. If they are unwilling to do this, then trade him to some team where he can get some playing time and see what happens. Go Brady.

The only thing we'll do by playing him is hurt his trade value. Look what happened after last year? Trade him now before people see that he stinks. Holmgren knows his stuff and he can see already that Quinn is not the answer.

I'm all for giving BRADY a real chance to prove himself, and not yank him whenever he throws an airball. I would much rather bring back BRIAN SIPE than any of the other guys mentioned so far....

I think any of us would rather have Sipe back than the current options. I don't think that's really being considered though. As long as we're talking like that though, why don't we try to convince Dan Marino to come out of retirement?

If Brady goes, so should Eric Mangini. He pretty much ruined Brady's confidence by yanking him around last year. How do you develop a "Star" quarterback by treating him like a backup at best.
Now that Cleveland has a decent offensive line and can offer the QB position some protection and are developing decent receivers, and already packing dynamite (Joush Cribbs) give Brady the chance (Full Season) to jell with them. Constantly changing players, coaches and upper management, how fair is that? He, like Joush Cribbs wants to play for our Browns, his heart is with the Browns, given a solid chance, he very easily would be our QB for now and the future.
I am a Browns fan for life, no matter what. I will back any decision made this year. I've been through the Mike Phipps era, Brian Sipe era and the Bernie Kosar era and all the others in between.
Yes I am an old fart, I just want Cleveland to put a quality team on the field once again, yes, it has been many many years.
