After 38 years Brett is no doubt fatigued mentally, emotionally, and pyhsically. With all the back and forth with him - he seems like a ship adrift at sea with no rudder! He should have stayed here in Mississippi and enjoyed mowing his grass, fishing, hunting, and more importantly - quality time with his family. He's had a great career - better to go out on top. That won't happen now. Especially with the Jets. That team would have crashed with or without him. He will regret his decision to come back to the NFL.

I couldn't agree more. I hope Favre nickle and dimes the Jets to death. Maybe next season he'll come back and whine about how their managment won't bring a big free agent. Maybe Mangini gets canned and Favre will campaign Mariucci to no avail. Maybe the world will see our former hero for what he really is: A crybaby has-been. It will be interesting how this plays out. Fail to retire... fail to win. Favre has always said since contemplating retirement back in 2002- he only wants to play to compete for a championship. I don't see the Jets as a competetor. Go Miami in week one!

10 bucks says he plays 2 games and then gets injured and calls it quits. He thinks he wants to play, even if not playing for the Packers, but he'll quickly realize it's not the same. OR this has been a plan all along to get the Packers some draft picks. Either way, I don't think he'll last the season.

why ca'nt you slacker fans be happy for our MVP qb ? We all know Bret is worth at least 5 wins in close games ! packrat wrote: I couldn't agree more. I hope Favre nickle and dimes the Jets to death. New York Jets 5-11 if Brett Favre plays the whole season. Jets fans will be booing him often after Brett complains about the team constantly.

Well, isn't that coincidental? I'm fatigued just reading about him.

He's in for a rude awakening. He was treated like a god in GB - probably not going to happen in NY. They'll boo him off the field when he throws his first IT. Of course, the refs may still be on his side when he whines, so he might just make it to halftime.

Sorry 40 X 60, he was TREATED LIKE A HERO IN GB and now he really is in for a TRUE AWAKINGING. Loved him lost and will be there in Canton on Induction, but he acted like a complete asswhole this time. Three years and crying after every season... It was extraordinary... Enough. Thompson and the Packers in my HO showed class and discretion, esp. Thompson. Favre Fatigue is what a Redskin buddy of mine called it. He acted so immature. Now, he is under the NY spotlight. I say good luck. You should have stayed retired like you said when you couldn't get up for the practices anymore and tears ran down those cheeks...
