Jake was nowhere near being accurate, even in his pre-pre game throws....almost an hour and 1/2 before the game started Jake could not throw the ball to a guy who was 20 yards away from him. Now, Jake did ok in the regular pregame warmup throws be he should have pulled himself after the second or third interception....That is where his ego got in the way(not in a negative way...meaning he believes only he can win and that he got them into the hole and he was going to get them out)

Other errors: Not playing Chris Gamble on Fitzgerald

Other errors: No defensive line penetration

WORST SIN OF ALL!!! STOPPING THE RUN GAME AFTER DEANGELO HAD 40 YARDS AND A TOUCHDOWN IN 6 MINUTES!!!!!!!!1

GAME CHANGER: WHEN IT WAS 3RD AND 2 ON THE PANTHER'S SECOND POSSESSION AND AFTER TWO RUNS UP THE MIDDLE THE PANTHERS LINED UP IN THE EXACT SAME FORMATION AND RAN IT AGAIN ONLY YO HAVE IT STUFFED BEHIND THE LINE!!!! THERE WAS NO WRINKLE AT ALL TO THE PLAY AND THAT IS ALL IT NEEDED....FIRE JEFF DAVIDSON, GET A STARTING CORNERBACK, RELEASE KEN LUCAS AND LANDON JOHNSON ASAP! THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT RESIGNING PEPPERS...

Get over it! There hasn't been a QB that hasn't been where Jake has one time or another.

I recall when I used to get upset over Eli Manning and his interceptions and errors he made and felt he was being treated special cause he was a Manning--but both finally came through. I recall when Vick was on his 3rd QB coach. I hear raves over how wonderful Drew Brees is and that team is always at the bottom of the barrel. What good are Bees start when his team is the worse in the south. Everyone ranted and raved over Romo and where is he this year.

Appreciate the fact we aren't the bottom team and instead we won the south championship and made #2 seed and considered one of the elite teams. Give some credit here for getting so high up on the scale.

Or wallow in your misery and self pity. Its all choice. These guys will pick theirself up and go on either here or with other teams.
Jake has one bad game and then its off with his head. Get a life! Their accomplishment out weighed it all and the real problem lay with the coaches not the players.

I believe that Jake has seen his last days in Charlotte. Jake has quietly had a bad season this year. Thanks to Smith(Steve)those errors were erased. He threw 5 picks to the defenders on Saturday. The coaches did not throw them Jake threw them.I agree the coaching staff needs to be evaluated this off-season. The Panthers need to adapt another culture there.Jake is not who we think he is".Eli Manning has a SB on his resume. I think you can give him a pass for his play. This year the stars were aligned for the Panthers to compete. Please look in another direction for QB and Defensive coaches to right this wrong.

The Panthers look like friggin SWAC or MEAC conference. To lose your first home game like that in the playoffs speaks volumes about how scared they get in big games. Delhomme really looked like the Aaron Brooks understudy that he was with the Saints throwing 5 INTs in a huge game with homefeild advantage.(some advantage)

I am so angry at fans who are so quick to condemn Jake and others as though we had not had a great run. With Jake as our Quarterback, we have had some really great games. Compare Our seasons with Jake with last year without him! Every team has days that don't work out as planned. Jake is not the only quarterback who had a bad day and lost a crucial game in the playoffs. Eli Manning had too many interceptions as did several others. Teams that seemed to be sure finalists, lost early. I say THANK YOU, Jake, Steve, Jon, Julius,
Double Trouble, and each and everyone of you. You are my Carolina Panthers through thick and thin. I will never understand "Fair Weather Fans." How do you Fair Weather Followers dare to call yourself "Fans"? I hope Coach Fox and all of the staff, Jake Delhomme and all of the players, you are my guys and I hope you all sign to come back next year. May I also add, I am disappointed in the stories about not resigning Ken Lucas! Do you not recognize what a tremendous gift he gave to the team and fans by his forgiving attitude? He and Steve were able to rise above an unfortunate incident. Thanks to that fact, the team really became one, a true team. You can't buy that kind of contribution. To me, that you would even think of not keeping Ken is gross ingratitude. I hope you will reconsider. Ken made some very good plays during the season. Like everyone else, he had some tough days. It just galls me when players are treated as though they are as good as their last game. Have a good day and you are a HERO, a bad day and you are a SCAPEGOAT. Let us rise above that attitude. I hope my comments will be passed on to the players. Keep your heads high. You are Champions whether some want to recognize it or not. I was heartbroken in that final game, not for myself, but for each of you who have had to endure the cruel ingratitude of so many. Some writers, had enough sense to recall the good games, but others spoke as though those good games never happened or had no significanse. My hope is that you will not dwell on that last game except to see how to avoid mishaps in the future. Look at the good games, too. and see how you can carry those successes forward.
HOLD YOUR HEADS HIGH! YOU GAVE US A GREAT SEASON! Your day will come!
My prayers are with you that you will enjoy good health and happiness.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Jake gave us a great year. Look at our performance without him last year! How quickly we forget. I hope your employers are not as cruel and judgmental toward you when you don't perform up to par!

I think it is sad that you continue to hold on to yesterday's Jake. No wonder this team is in denial because the fans are still in denial. It is what it is" I am sure you have heard that somewhere before. The Panthers will never realized their SB run with conservative thinkers as yourself. We must realize that Jake has given us his best days. This organization will never live up to its potential by countinuing to accept sub-par play from inconsistent players who lack real playmaking abilities. Not a fair weather fan just one who tells the truth.Accept it. We must be open-minded to change. Please do not hang on to yesterday"s news. The NFL is a results-oreinted business. They have great runs at times;but lack heart when it counts.

I agree with you totally. I was their fan when they began--when they were 1 and 15 and now. A true fan with stop downing and encourage ---when you know that your fans are behind you no matter what and not "conditionally" then our team plays harder and better --that what make good players want to stay or go no one wants to play for non supportive fans

Who said we need Vic should be shot! Come on. I agree, Jake messed up bad, but he is by no means the worst QB out there. The combination of Jake, Smitty and D-Will have got us here.

It is smart business to start looking for Jake's replacement. Whether that be next year or not, we need to start looking. Unless we trade Peps, there is no way we are getting one in the draft, so there.

Let's focus on plugging the holes in our D-Line. That is what really lost us the game against Arizona. No pressure on the QB.
