??? What??? Why did he restructure?? Wade is great blocker, sprung #28 on more than one occasion.

This is not a good move unless Wade made it impossible to have him around. Wade's value was immeasurable. Lots of intangibles with him. Very reliable receiver.

Lewis never seemed to flourish in the pass happy Philly offense so why should he be worth anything to us?

Why would they release Wade? Not to mention Ian Johnson who played so excellent the last game - plunged threw many crowds and scored a touch down doing so.

Childress is getting as bad as Gardenhire with playing his Girlfriends. Funny how so many are wrong and one man is right.

TCP - Why? The article says the Chillster fell in love with him when at Philly, but while we knew Wade was on the edge, he might be missed. He was a reliable slot guy, blocker both for AD and downfield for Shank or a receiver headed for the end zone. A good guy too, I think. Time will prove out if the Lewis move was a good thing or a Childress folly.

I know a lot of people were down on Wade - but he was a reliable receiver who has shown more than every other receiver on the roster other than Berrian. With that said, I think he had the least amount of ability compared to all other receivers on the roster except for maybe Jaymar - who to me seems like the same kind of player Wade is. Wade seems to me as one of the players who was probably vocal about the displeasure of bringing in Favre. If this is the case, Wade isn't worth the trouble - and I have a strong feeling this is the case.

Well great. I guess Childress knows best. I mean, look at all those old Philly players Childress has picked up over the years. They sure worked out, eh? Who's next, Terrel Owens? What an incredibly stupid move.

stupid move....bobby wade worked hard for us and was an excellent blocker...obviously he must have slowed down a lot and they are concerned about their slot wr.

With the emergence of Jaymar Johnson & Darious Reynaud, this was probably inevitable. Also, I believe they drafted a certain Percy Harvin who should also ecxel in the slot.

Normally I would clown Childress as much as anyone, but the truth is that Wade was (at best) the 4th or 5th receiver. So all the talk about him being a great blocker is moot. The only time he would have seen the field is a hail mary situation-the one time we don't need a WR blocking. He's better off going to a WR starved team and be the #3 guy.

Like this move won't alter the chemistry in the locker room? The credibility problem with this team is the head coach, he seems to have a fundamental problem with honesty. If anything derails this season for the Vikings it won't be the signing of Brett Favre, it will be from retaining this clown as head coach.

Greg Lewis is a great role player. Special teams and crucial situations.....I hope the release of Bobby Wade is the start of the Percy Harvin show!!

Great, another former Philly reject on the roster! That has got us no where in the past. I am not a big Wade fan but obviously his mouth got him in trouble with Klink.

We need WR's to catch the ball more than we need them to block. This guy couldn't catch a 3rd down pass if he made 5 million a year. Wait.......oh he did make 5 million year. C'mon none of you guys didn't see this coming soon as we drafted Percy? Berrian Percy and Rice is all we need.
