Lewis, Favre breakfast buddies now

Full story: TwinCities.com

Until recently, Greg Lewis couldn't stand Brett Favre. Lewis was a Chicago Bears fan growing up in Matteson, Ill., so he had his reasons.

We of course we got Farve to win and of course we want to win the Big One and of course everyone will be happy and , possibly, in a mood to grant some new-found love to the stadium deal. I don't see the journalistic scoop here. Lame article.

As for winning the super Bowl, we are way too sloppy of a team right now to even jinx ourselves with that notion. Just concentrate on winning the division. And a win Monday would really help.

Old Grey Beard will be mentally more ready than Rogers. I expect a blow out. Peterson will get his 200 yd game. Rogers is the one who will be intercepted multible times. Monday night football?? I hope Woodson chokes!

So Lewis and Favre are breakfast buddies now. What great news! This has made my day. I have had deep concern that these two didn't enjoy breakfast together. Here I worried, for no reason, that they may even sit at separate breakfast tables. But now, praise God, they have breakfast together. A new dawn has arrived.

Makes me wonder why the "experienced" Vikings receivers were not in the end zone. Concerns me, really, since reading that Bevell told Favre it had to "... be in the end zone." Why were our three "experienced" Vikings NOT in the end zone, and our new guy was. Coaching, do ya think? Well, a chance meeting on the field, a chance meeting off the field, and here's to chance. I hope it happens again, and again, and again. It was one heckuva game that still has me a little hoarse... And that's okay, because I'd rather be a little hoarse than a big donkey like some of my Packer friends.

I know these guys are all spoiled and worshiped a bit too much, but c'mon.
AP,Favre,Lewis,Hutchinson,Tayl or,Berrian, Greenway, Leber, Winfield, Shaincoe, etc...

All these guys are class acts. Mckinnie and Harvin seem to be the only "thuggish"
guys on the team. Hopefully Harvin isnt hanging with McKinnie. Hopefully he's hanging with Taylor and AP, learning to be a great man as well as a great player.

Jared Allen-well, what team is complete without a crazy country hick?

they were not in the endzone because they had discussed running their routs to the sidelines if the play dictated. In the end, it was what needed to happen. Had they all ran into the endzone it would have been crowded with a dozen players or so running around. By them stopping short, GL was able to make a play on the ball.

Man, can you give the whole "class act"/persona bull crap a rest. What on earth gives you any evidence that Harvin is "thuggish"? Is it because he smoked some weed? I know A LOT of Catholic (white) people that were smokin weed and sniffin snow when I was growing up; and they for sure weren't "thuggish". So what is it then? The bottom line is, the kid is heck of football player. During the Lions game, I told my Viking buddy that I couldn't wait to see Harvin get in some open field and turn on the burners. We finally got to see it and it will only be a matter of time til we see him running deep posts like Desean Jackson and just burnin teams. This kid is exciting and if he and Adrian remain together for years to come, we Viking fans have a lot to look forward to.

Sounds like you praise Ted Thompson, I heard he likes cheese curds like you for breakfast.

Great play to win the game. Awesome. It is interesting that Brett has done the seemingly impossible as far as Childress is concerned. Favre has turned the least popular person in the state of Minnesota into a football coach. Come to think of it there are a few other people who owe their coaching success to Brett. Guys like Andy Reid, Jon Gruden, and Mike Holmgren's careers were improved dramatically by Brett Favre. I'm sure that Childress welcomes the change.

It was 4th down with no time left - getting out of bounds would be worthless.

Jared Allen is Da Bomb! He definitely has an interesting haircut - not a fan of the bitchin' short-long, but he brings great energy, passion, and leadership to the team.

And a little crazy never hurt anyone - especially in football!

Got to agree with you on this one. I still don't like BF and will not support him, I will however continue to support the team. That said, I still think Chilly is the weak link in an otherwise strong chain.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
