Yeah and I value their opinions more since they are actually in the midst of it all, and have actual experience playing against him. Also shows you how he could be an asset because he makes defenses think differently.

Agreed, IAvikefan.

I'm guessing Greenway might have gotten a call from the front office asking him to tread carefully on this, in case Favre does come in. Wouldn't want any noise in the locker room over who-said-what.

I'm glad Greenway spoke his mind. It would be fun to see Favre playing against the Packers, but I have a feeling that's all Favre really wants, anyway. Once he's had his chance to make his old front office look bad, he won't care about the Vikings. And it's for precisely that reason I'd rather stick with Jackson and Rosenfels for 2009, with the hope that one of them will prove to be the long term guy, or the team will be able to land a YOUNG franchise QB next year. Not someone like Favre, Garcia, or McNabb, but a legitimate team leader for the next 10 years.

Yeah like INTERCEPTION DAY When you play Brett, I was hoping he did go to the Viking....He only wants to play against his old team, win one, then retire, but Brad is to duh!! to realize it.

Childress (and Mark Wilf) could learn something from Chad Greenway.

Maybe Chad could be a player coach/company president and replace them both!

The whole organization for some reason seems to believe they are the champs... When really, it is just a bunch of CHUMPS!!

So we are not going to pay winfield and use the savings to sign Favre? are these those new freakonomics? We do need a qb, badly, but how much is Favre going to ask for? pay winfield first. I'm sure asher allen isn't ready to start in the NFL yet.

Unless Chad Greenway signs a lifetime contract, and in the course of his career, wins a Superbowl, his opinion means nothing. Get off your high horse Chad.

who's oxboro? was he a first round draft choice?

who's Favre? a washed-up New York Jet? or the washed-up QB from Gay Bay that was traded away, and was released by his new team after one season?

Neither you or oxboro have ever been a first round draft choice, or have been a pro NFL player, but you both felt free to give YOUR opinion. Ask Aaron Rodgers if he knows who Greenway is. Or for that matter, a number of other Vikings he saw "up close". Chad Greenway is a hell of alot more qualified to render an opinion about what happens on the team he belongs to than either of you are.

when did greenway touch rogers? oh, that's right, the handshake. guy's a stiff. didn't you see allen passing him in pursuit last year? he's slow & completely lost in coverage. Leber's the only decent coverage LB we have.

The problem with the above is this - we don't have a great team to play with right now. Greenway is VERY WRONG. With no QB we have no chance at a championship - none. Having other pieces in place is fine, but not enough - ALL must be in place - especially the one behind center - wish all you want, it WILL NOT happen with Jackson or Rosenfels (under 500 will happen, however, with lots of wasted talent at other positions, aging out).
