<quoted text>Not at all bitter; sorry you read it that way. Not taking credit for Peyton / so don't take credit for Colt players. Elway was indeed an Irsay issue that happened when the Colts were in Indy. Which brings up an interesting question, why can't Tenn. take from Indy, if Indy can take from Baltimore. Well maybe you're right, you never hear about anyone retiring to the north.
??? You do know Tenn is just the old Houston Oilers right? No different than the COlts.

So, remove a Tennessee quarterback from the Colts, and what do you have? Will he stretch it out as long as Brett Favre?
I remember the pre-Peyton days.....it wasn't pretty. John Elway wanted nothing to do with the Colts. Also, it seems like the Titans beat the Colts once last year and nearly twice.
Enjoy while you can.
Spitballs. You don't even know your history - when the elder Irsay passed, the reason Elway and others - you forgot biscuit - didn't want to be here. You also forgot Dickerson, who supplanted the best running back never to get credit: Albert Bentley. OH, and lest we forget, Jim Harbaugh giving the Steelers all they could handle. Where were you then? Yes, even the BAD Colts teams beat their division rivals fairly often. The Titans are better this year, but still aren't an elite team - maybe a wild card at best, swapping with the Chiefs. Sorry about your losses.

Geez, I can't reply to all of you!! I gotta work. But I find humor in these comments...seeing some folks so proud...proud to the point that it sounds like they may be part of a team. Because a team that wins a championship happens to be in someone's city or is a team that someone roots for, has nothing to do with any fan. There is no realistic credit. They just happen to live there; they had nothing to do with it, the Colts don't care if you get hit by a freight train. You lose your job, ask Peyton or Marvin for a loan; or Vince; or Drew. Yes, it is actually that way with all the NFL teams and players. In fact, if your obituary states that you were a NFL team fan, they will probably want a royalty. Is this team pride actually the foundation of your self-worth and pride? It sure reads like it. Y'all get the last comments. No mas, no mas!!!!!!!!!!
I remember going to a training camp a while back as a HS Freshman - was given an Albert Bentley jersey (worn in preseason), played Sega Genesis with D. Biasucci and D. Bickett. Pat Beach played basketball with several other Colts of the day at my HS... You can't tell me Peyton doesn't care, he cared enough to hump that guy's leg on SNL last summer...
