I guess Harper, Thornton, Gardner and Hartsock couldn't collectively remember the Colts' entire playbook. Pretty soon, the Titans are going to have to change their name to "Indy South."

hmmmm...didn't the Titans beat The Colts once last year, and practically embarrased them at the Dome also... so what, the Titans sign decent players from Super bowl teams, what's so horrible about that...

He won't even play a single down next season, that's why we got rid of him.

This should be interesting....If Simon can still play effectively, what was the real reason the colts let him go? Made snide comments about Polians wig?

I think, if healthy Simon is an excellent move for the Titans run defense. I wish him the best of luck in Tenn.

Can anyone tell me why Simon did not play last year? I don't believe it was ever disclosed. What are the rumors?

They never stated how he failed the physical this year either. Then the Titans pick him up.....very strange.

I have no doubts that simon can still play effectively. The colts chose to release him because they were unwilling to take the gamble, based on his past injuries. If they allowed him to play, and his arthritic condition came back during the season, it would have been deemed a football injury, meaning the colts would have had to pay him the remainder of his contract. They didn't want to take that chance.
They had already paid him 14 million dollars for 15 games.... They decided to cut there losses and let him go. you cant blame the colts even if he has an outstanding season. We just were not in a situation to gamble like the titans were.

This article is very informative! It dosent let the reader know why the Colts got rid of Simon and why the Titans aquired him. Also, what was wrong with him(Polyarthritis) causing absence from the entire 07 season. The Titans are making everybody wonder why they keep getting x-colts starting last year with David Thornton. They might be getting inside information on our weaknesses or something.

Simon might show some desire will to play, and that will only come against the two games against Indy. Tennessee is going to find out the reason he was released. This is a huge mistake for their franchise. I'm glad he is gone as he really hurt the team.

Yeah, I think most Colts fans would agree that sometimes they have trouble with the worst teams in the league, but then handle the likes of New England, Baltimore and Chicago.
