QB, MOre WR depth, better secondary coverage, and a new stadium......am I wrong or the Minnesotans allowing the Vikes to leave, is the end near? I have been a 29 year fan from NC and I stay current with Vikings news and I get the sense the community understands the team is leaving for LA in 2 seasons. Will anybody confirm this suspicion.
I was a fan when they moved here in 1961, 47 years of watching the same old, same old. Under Grant they had the desire but never have the Queens ever had the talent and desire together. Otherwise they would have a Super Bowl win.

I don't know if they will move but not one nickel of my money is ok to spend on this current group of thugs. One billion dollars for eight home games a year!? Move to LA, I definately allow it, in fact encourage it. I haven't cared about this team since after Super Bowl loss #4. They are always the same group of losers.

Harshman, harsh........they need the right people in place, but don't have it now. Be patient, the Patriots found their guy, the Vikes will too, but it is not with TJ, Klink, or Hawkstedter (WILF-instead of MILF)

Wrong. Playing not to lose and assuming your D will give up a 19 yard play for a first down is defeatist football. Akers was kicking it through from 60 yards in practice so a 43 yard FG was a piece of cake. At that point in the game we were all over them on D so why not let Allen lose on McNabb and try for a sack or a fumble and think of a positive result? Once again Childress gets outcoached and proves he doesn't belong in this league.
I agree, it was a bonehead play, along with the mis-management of the clock just before halftime, and no creativity on offense. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for his first 3 years, now it's time to move on.(Providing they can find someone better!!)

The problem here is IGNORANT ownership to one extent: Winning is disregarded as essential; dismissed as relatively unimportant. The Wilf's look only at the bottom line, which looks good because Vikings fans are so incredibly dumb that they keep coming to the games and paying to watch losing football. The Wilf's know what many owners know - you can turn a nice profit, enjoy the status of owning a pro sports franchise, lose and make money. What makes a great owner is recognition of the "down the road" economic importance of winning - the long-term importance (which translates into even MORE money, and shows evidence of integrity and pride - 2 things these owners are completely clueless about)- the Krafts, Bowlens and Jones of the world "get this". Knowing something about the economics of pro football team ownership is NOT the same as knowing the microeconomics of owning and operating other types of short or long run businesses.

Because of this arrogant mindset and entrenched stupidity complete with tunnel vision, we, the fans, suffer. Trust me - the ONLY way to change this is to NOT go to the games, PERIOD, until real change is evident. We are the fools who fuel this fire. Klink keeps his job despite harrowing ineffectuality which would have nearly anyone in the non-football private sector fired long, long ago (under 500 after 3 years - you decide if that defines success...) and a stubbornness driven by personal aggrandizement heretofore unseen at this level (see the TJ experiment and Klink's steadfast refusal to bring in a winning QB - like the one who just beat us yesterday).

This is what you have with owners who understand nothing about pro sports, football and long-run economics as it relates to this "particular" industry. They let the football guys (Childress and CS, they think) explain the football part to them and tell them why the Vikings have done "well" instead of measuring their performance in objective terms (boy, does this organization need a Bill Parcels!!!).

Consider what Ron Wolf did in Green Bay and how he did it. Compare that with what we have and it's enough to make one puke.

Wilf's son has already said Childress will absolutely stay for next season - how absurdly stupid and audacious is that?! That statement is nothing less than a brutal insult to all of fans.

My thought exactly in yanking T "Pick-6" Jackson! After 7 straight inc passes, that should be called throw-aways, any other coach would've put another QB. And atleast tried to pull out a W. It's not like there's next week, THIS WAS IT! That was an awful QB performance that the 31 other NFL QB's & their back-ups could've topped. Cut him or try to trade for, uh maybe, Tyler Thigpen! What a joke, bust & disgrace...

Sunday: 7 drives that showed nothing but a bewildered TJerk. 7 drives that could've given Gus a shot. 7 drives to figure out a blocking scheme.

Bad coaching.

Seriously, kfan, let's look at McCarthy once: How many "winning" seasons did he have with GB? Where did GB lose in the post-season after their "winning" season? Who was the QB? What happened after he left?(He was used to GB's receivers after YEARS of familiarity) Whose dicision was it to get rid of Favre? Did they deal him dirt, and practically FORCE that decision upon him? Etc. etc. The same case, if not MORE of a case can be made for GB. Do you spout this crap to GB fans? How is anybody supposed to take you seriously when you're obviously just using this for an "anti-Viking" platform?

Yeah Harry, I agree. EXCEPT with all of the blitzing, I'm afraid Gus would've been killed. He just isn't fast enough. That's NOT a knock on him. He's just that kind of QB. The Vikings need a real QB. A mobile one. And, another fast wide out. One more quality safety like Madieu Williams. Next season, they get their cancer/recovered fast attack guy back. And, if there was a bright spot in that Philly game at all, it was seeing how well Robison played.

Went to the same place McMuffin's over In Gay Bay went about 6 weeks ago already, I'd guess... Hard to motivate fans when your team's hangin' out with Detroit somewhere down there on the ol' depth chart. Losing a play-off game, at home, isn't much fun to anybody. I remember around a year ago reading posts on greenbaypressgazette.com ...Only they seemed a bit more whiney...

Veteran QBs can sniff out a blitz. TJerk panics and throws with his eyes closed.
